In your scenario, I would buy NIB from an AD. The provenance of the piece is without a doubt known.
In general, I recommend buying from an AD and getting your tax back whilst travelling - pays for a nice trip.
If you buy second hand, you don't know why the watch was let go, or whether the watch has been serviced by an official service centre. Imagine some OEM parts were replaced with generics? Not good IMO

the black one has a brushed ceramic bezel instead of the gloss one on the blue, and note that the blue one often looks a fairly grey-blue, sometimes even a dark/pale-turqoise in the right light, so if you're expecting a brilliant bright blue, it wont deliver that. as for the strap, you can get it on either the steel bracelet like mine or a rubber strap with a brilliant adjustment system on the clasp, or buy both and swap between them (simple screw bolt through the lugs). if you want a leather strap, you need one custom made (Combat Straps does them for <$160), but imo they dont look very good with the thick lugs anyway

^^ is it just me or is that date window significantly closer to the 5 marker than the 4...?? 4:30 date window isnt a dealbreaker for me, but 4:39 date window would be... i've had my aquis for 2 days, and i'm already lusting for more watches, so i'm probably not the best to give advice on that front, but regardless, if you can, you should still go try it on in person at an AD.

well, yeah i guess so. i've already got a watch i bought in pre-order that was meant to be done a month ago that should be ready soon, and im still 98% sure i'm going for the Epos i posted a few weeks back as my next purchase, and after that, i'm tossing up between that Longines GMT and maybe something else. farrrrkkkkk
edit: MWWC brahs with lots of watches, what sort of box/case do you keep them in? i'm on the lookout for a nice 10-watch box, preferably with a drawer in it for keeping straps/parts/etc in*says 'negged' but doesnt actually neg crew*

Dat lume.. dat JJ le Co
Over 3x older than me. Just got the strap in so finally seeing it more realistically. Pretty awesome. I'll get better pics in daylight.
Also, anyone have a Hirsch Modena strap? Thinking of getting this for the Omega to upgrade from the Crown & Buckle. Thoughts?Internet money works in real life.
