The O/V 35 misc. Was a great idea, and has provided a great avenue for us to post about a variety of different topics. For the most part, the mods have left us alone, and that's a good thing.
There is one major problem I and others have: personal attacks on family members. To me, that is chickensh!t and you know who you are.
Personal attacks on me do not bother me in the least.
Trolls don't bother me.
I love to cut up and have fun as much, probably more than most.
I think it would be a good idea for all of the O/V 35 to voice their opinions here on what you do or don't think is acceptable.
In before the regular O/V 35r's who rarely post here give their opinions.

Agree with so-tex. Ragging one-on-one is okay (no, not really, but it's accepted up to a point) but if you bring husbands/wives/kids into the equation, that crosses the line.

Trolls don't bother me either - think they can actually be a lot of fun, and the threads open up for lulzy postings.
Personally, I strongly dislike personal attacks or insults, and still find it hard to believe why so many choose to engage in
that behavior. I haven't seen adults act like this anywhere else in my whole life. One can disagree, dislike each other, or argue
without resorting to that and it is the main thing on this forum that I have a problem with.
Making friendly fun of each other is one thing , but taking cheap shots and bullying is another. This, to me, seem to be
more common towards low reppers and first time posters. I do believe more lurkers would participate if this stuff went away.
Maybe I have thin skin or whatever, but I believe that if you wouldn't say something to my face, then don't write it in here.
But I don't believe anyone here really acts like that in real life, so there might be hope yet.

Unless someone actually knows one's wife or child it's really not offensive. It the case where a rude or insulting comment is made about a know relative or a picture about appearance then that crosses the line.
Recently it looks like some are really out to attack others and using this tactic to get under someones skin.
As an observer it's kind of interesting in a train wreck sort of way.Semper Fi.
Just play the cards you are dealt and STFU.

I am guilty of doing that, I did it to DBX and I actually felt bad because I know the guy personally. So I apologized to him, if I did not know him on a personal level than I would not have given a sh!t, but I do and I did, so that was f'cked up of me.
I am a lot of things, but one thing I do not do is talk about peoples (who I know) family that sh!t is just wrong. On the list for Bannukah

I rarely post much around the o35 or o35 misc areas. Now and again I will.
But I got some 0.02c to drop in here.
My beef.
Considering this is a BB site. People from certain areas give it full on balls to wall to progress.
They try as hard as possible to get stronger, bigger, improve in some way or another.
Sometimes for what?
Well most of you guys have the time and thoughts to come in here and post lols and rip each other up. Take selfies, post gifs. Chat amongst each other regarding the type of day you had.
But most of you simply don't even bother to pat on the back the ACHIEVERS who are proud of what they accomplish. Proud to have given full focus on squeezing every last drop of effort into getting bigger, stronger, faster.
Other than that. I got nothing.
An example though.
Flounderbout breaking a huge milestone and fixing up his squat.

Bustasinclair prepping for a huge stage moment.

JTBNY competing in a PL meet for the first time and breaking PRS.

Do I take this chit too seriously. Maybe. But I also see credit where credit SHOULD be due.
A lot of you guys need to put in a bit more effort for the ones who are putting in the blood, sweat, sacrifices and tears and are willing to post about it around here. Misc or not.
Now I care not for green or red squares. So do what you want. I think I am done.Ride it like you just stole it.

the over 35 misc is like a family reunion sometimes
we all gather together to catch up and joke around and ask
"How's the wife and kids?"
" Did ya go fishing last weekend?"
"How's that new job working out?"
"Man I did something to my shoulder last week in the gym"
for the most part we are a family but like any family reunion..
there will be times when drama breaks out
harsh words are spoken
and people go off in a huff
and there will be times when certain family members
start out having a good time and bullsh*tting while having a beer or two
but after a few too many just turn into an a**hole by end of night
when I see that coming...I just walk away

Anybody that attacks anyone else on a personal level would never do it in the real world without provocation. They might be built like a brick outhouse but they're not bullet proof. Yea sure it's so easy to pick on someone starting out or starting again (like me) and yes I've been on the end of one or two scathing remarks but hey we're all big kids now and can take the bs* - Because that's all it is really. Personal attacks on a family member is just showing what a scum bag they are. There's enough other crap in the world to worry about apart from picking on a community member that puts in the same hours at the gym. Peace man!
