    ProMera Sports/Team Woolegend21 - Con-Cret/Pump Extrem Mashing Plates W/MetFan

1st off I want to thank Pro-Mera & woolegend21 for the opportunity to run these products.

Been out of the lifting game for roughly 2.5 years and only as recently as 2 months ago did I get up the courage to go back in and attempt at least a healthy lifestyle instead of trying to compete in Powerlifting. Something about seeing that bar bending gives me a rush like nothing else. But attempting to be OK with that and the mental anguish that comes with getting older and not being able to do what I once did was the tough part. I have come to peace with that, but I still want to lift as heavy AS I CAN.

Now I am slowly getting to where I was lift wise, but based on past experience, I like to do a Hybrid training regime that does 5X5 on Compounds and then insane amounts of reps on Isolation exercises. Having dealt with Shoulder/Back problems over my duration here, I will train smart and if numbers are too low for some, well that is just me trying to persevere in the gym and not sit on the sidelines with yet another injury. I am enjoying my time in the gym now and feeling better about myself and my current progress and I'm not here to impress anyone but myself. I am seeing gains in numbers week to week, so that should help in this log as progression is inevitable at this early stage in my comeback.

1MR's for Big 3 are as follows:

    Bench 245x1
    Deadlift 345x1
    Squat 255x1

Vids of where I was before injury and where I am trying to be when this log ends.

    365x3 DEADS

    315X5 SQUATS

This can and will be done in the next 8 weeks.

Training is done in the evenings after work, so I will likely hit the gym at midnight my time and train until 2-2:30AM. I will post sessions as I have my post meal. Really looking forward to what Con-Cret/Pump-Extrem can & will do for me.

Pics to follow as I got package as I was leaving for work. 1st training session will be Sunday as I work Saturdays and gym is closed when I finish work.

Today was Day 1 of the Con-Cret/Extrem-Pump and I gotta say I blasted through my workout like the weights were nothing. Not that heavy, so maybe that's why, but I decided to do a full 5X5 for this log and lessen the accessory work to aid in recovery and just focus on heavy as possible Compounds. Went a little lighter than anticipated so added more arm work, but as the weeks progress, the isolation movements are going to lessen.

Taste/Solubility & Mixability were perfect. No excess residue, taste was spot on (Blue/Raspberry) and the pump I got from Extrem was awesome. If this is an indication of how I will feel in the gym, then I am sold.

    Dosage was 2 scoops Con-Cret & 1 scoop Pump-Extrem.

    5X5

    Squats (Oly)
    Barx2x10
    135x1x10
    155x1x5
    185x5x5
    225x1x5

    Bench Press
    135x1x5
    155x5x5

    BB Rows
    155x5x15
    135x1x12

    Preacher Curls
    80x2x12
    100x3x8

    Tri Extensions
    50x3x12
    60x2x10

    Hammer Curls
    25x3x15
    45x2x8

    Planks
    3x60 Seconds

Yesterday was an active rest day, but still dosed 2.5 scoops Con-Cret as per instructions. Just did some foam rolling and streches to get the blood flowing and try to get some of the lactic acid out of my legs.

Today was Day 2 of the Con-Cret/Extrem-Pump. Not the greatest session as lower back & legs were still a bit sore from Squats. This will be normal until the body adapts to how I want to train. Pump-Extrem did it's job perfectly though and I was dialed into all my lifts, just tender in the low back. Although I will say that after my 2nd set of 245 Deads, Pump-Extrem seemed to really kick in as Deads seem to be easier. Really liking the Con-Cret/Pump-Extrem stack as I feel it is a great combo and over time, I will get much stronger. Vascularity is another thing I am not really used to, but I see veins in my arms popping that I don't ever recall seeing so that is another perk of Pump-Extrem. Going to do the 3 days a week training and get as much recovery as I can, but I feel that by week 3 I will attain singles on the weights I was at in the vids posted from 3 years ago. It's a small goal, but a goal nonetheless and I really want this log to show that after almost 3 years out, I got back to those numbers in 3 months and Con-Cret/Pump-Extrem is going to push me there.

    Dosage was 2.5 scoops Con-Cret & 1 scoop Pump-Extrem.

    Barx1x10
    135x2x10

It's a small goal, but a goal nonetheless and I really want this log to show that after almost 3 years out, I got back to those numbers in 3 months and Con-Cret/Pump-Extrem is going to push me there.

    Dosage was 2.5 scoops Con-Cret & 1 scoop Pump-Extrem.

    Thanks guiys,

Deads/Squats are going to be a slow progression until near the end. Just building up strength and then when I get to the 3x3 phase, I will see where I am at lift wise.

Pump-Extrem did it's job perfectly though and I was dialed into all my lifts, just tender in the low back. Although I will say that after my 2nd set of 245 Deads, Pump-Extrem seemed to really kick in as Deads seem to be easier. Day 3

Today was Day 3 of the Con-Cret/Extrem-Pump. A better session, but got to the gym later than I wanted and was kind of rushing my session. Not to mention that gym was a bit busier then usual, so some waiting for equipment.

Still liking what Pump-Extrem does for me in the gym at only 1 scoop. Focus was off, but pump and strength were certainly there. The effects of Con-Cret are kicking in as recovery is getting better, strength is increasing and overall just feeling better in the gym. Upped weights used to see if capable and Compounds were done easily. Surprising as it's only been a week, but this stack is definitely working.

    Dosage was 2.5 scoops Con-Cret & 1 scoop Pump-Extrem.

I hate waiting for machines at the gym. Last night it was a struggle to get on the squat rack. I almost went off on some dude. When I got to the gym there were some guys on it, so I put my belt and journal right next to it so I could claim it. They say and knew what that meant. Next thing you know they were done and some other dude runs up and try's to jump on it. I was like hell no and wait your turn and then proceeded to pick up my gear. He gave a very confused look and then asked to just work in. I was like sure and never talked to him during my sets. I could be nicer but I have limited time at the gym and need to get my $hit done.

Wow, that was a douchy move on the other guys part. If I am doing my sets and someone does as you did, I generally hang around and give a head nod to let them know I am done. If someone tries to cut in, I let them know someone else is waiting. Cool that you let him work in, but I wouldn't have cracked to him either, especially since he just tried to bump in instead of asking.

My gym is just a bunch of guys (3-4) working in groups but not accomplishing much. Mostly they are just chatting or when they do lift they have 3 spotters for 135 bench/squat. Really sad to watch really, but I guess you have to start somewhere.

Thanks and yeah, I did increase. Felt the last Squat/Bench session was too easy and wanted to gauge where I was at. That last 245 squat set was a tough one though as my low back was still a bit sore.

I was happy to get in there at least, I normally superset with leg press but that was taken too. I am doing a program call "fortitude Training". It is awesome but I can hardly move.. I did almost throw up last night after squats. I haven't done that in a long time.. I didn't even talk those guys. It made me feel happy that I squat ATG while they did their quarter squats with half my weight. Sadly my squats are really week right now.

Supersetting squats with leg press? In all my years training, I never dared do that. Squats already fry me, couldn't imagine getting on the sled and doing more reps after a squat set. I would puke for sure, lol.

You have to admit, watching the knee twitchers is kind of amusing though. As for the weight used on squats? So long as you are using proper form and attempting ATG, you are doing fine. I would never ridicule someone using lighter weight but trying to train properly. Maybe the squat/press combo is preventing you from adding weight to the bar.

Back in the gym after my 2 day rest. Strength is improving, still continuing with the Con-Cret dosing on off days.

Today was Day 4 of the Con-Cret/Extrem-Pump. Felt good going into the gym, but forgot they close at 7PM on Sundays, so a little harried in there and rest periods were cut short due to time constraints. I feel that is why I struggled a bit on Deads as I was not resting sufficiently between sets and low back started to give out. Also due to time, I just did 5x5 Barbell Thrusters instead of Front squats and then OHP. Got the best of both worlds in those sets and they really get the heart pumping. Not sure if I mentioned this or not, but I am loving this stack. Pump-Extrem just gives me phenomenal focus and the pump is crazy. Again the vascularity is not something i am used to, but seeing veins popping everywhere definitely pushes me harder.

    Dosage was 2.5 scoops Con-Cret & 1 scoop Pump-Extrem.

    5X5

    Deads
    135x2x5
    185x2x5
    225x2x5
    275x3x5
    315x1x3

    Barbell Thrusters
    135x5x5

    V-Handle Lat Pulls
    135x5x10

    Plate Raise
    45x4x12

    Lat Raise Machine
    110x3x10

    Seated Clean and Press
    25x3x10

    BB Shrugs
    135x3x15

    BB Curls
    100x3x10

    V-Handle Tri-Extension
    42.5x3x10

    Rope Tri-Extension
    42.5x3x10

    10 Minutes Bike

    Blood......Sweat........RESPECT!!!!!

    Thanks Pappabear.

I was hoping they would at least be open until 8PM as I got there at 5, but once I saw 7 I knew I had to improvise.

Overall not a bad session, but wanted those extra reps on 315 Deads but was not to be. These logs are all about gaining strength and increasing numbers so I am really trying to improve where I can.

Well my gym has a 24/4 setup. Opens Monday morning and doesn't close again until Friday at 9PM. Really wish it would just go to 24/7.
