I'll repost because it probably applies to alot of people. I shoot guns purely for fun and never carry my pistol anywheres even in my car, or even leave it loaded. Don't feel the need to protect myself or stop a bank robbery just another hobby.

LA is the **** if you enjoy guns, lots of open land and gun ranges, can buy a gun with zero paperwork (heres money gimme gun), I'd stick to legit sources but its simple.

As a Canadian I understand it. The fact is even if guns were outlawed criminals will always have access to guns by way of the black market. Yes I believe guns have contributed negatively towards society; however, that is irrelevant. The fact is they exist, always will and not allowing citizens to protect themselves and have the same advantages as criminals is immoral. The US is the most powerful nation in the world and they didn't get there by being soft victims so I understand why most Americans would share these values and adopt gun culture into their lives.

Just about every single mass shooting recently was committed by someone who was at one time a "law abiding gun owning citizen".

There are that many guns in circulation in the US that you'd be stupid not to carry so i understand completely.

Here in the UK i doubt i'll ever see a gun in my life.

It's not even close to 1%.

There way over 100 million households with firearms in the US. Maybe 120 million, maybe more.

How many media-frenzy major school shootings are there? One every few years? Even if there was 1 every single year, that would be 0.000001% of gun owners. And that's estimating high on the %.

Of course, that ignores that those schools are "gun free" zones.

I'm a proponent of equality. If people are going to obtain guns for criminal activity then ill have one to meet them with equal force

i get it, because it makes sense to me that i should be allowed to keep a firearm in my home to protect myself from any mindless scumbag criminal who would break in.

unfortunately i live in Massachusetts so if anyone breaks into my home i will politely tell him to do how he pleases and offer him a glass of ice cold lemonade to ensure i don't get imprisoned for inconveniencing a criminal.
