    Uneven lower back muscles

One side of my lower back is much larger and stronger then the other. I'm not sure how I developed this but it's caused a lot if lower back tension and soreness.

Any ideas on how to correct this and should I keep dead lifting?

How long have you been lifting? If it's less than a year I wouldn't worry about it too much. Symmetry often (not always) comes with progress, however, nobody is perfectly symmetrical. If this has been an on going issue for a while, see a doctor.

Ok...just looked at how many posts you've made. You've probably been in the gym for a while....I'd see a doctor.

Yeah several years. Got my deadlift up to about 455 now and I'm wondering if I've been coming up to one side more then the other. Had a friend watch me and said my hips were off kinda to one side.

I'm thinking maybe back off the weight quite a bit abd really focus on coming up evenly

Having your hips go to one side is a chicken-or-the-egg observation. Maybe that caused the discrepancy, maybe it's the result.

The whole "go see a doctor" thing is kind of cliché, I admit, because a lot of docs don't have a damn clue about weight training. But at least they can help rule out the more serious risks and/or ailments and can give you a good referral to a more specialized professional. If it's a big deal and you're an intermediate (or advanced) lifter, I would be highly cautious of any internet advice...which is ironic considering everything I just wrote is internet advice.
