Let's just use bench press as the marker.
Obviously if you never work out in your life, and then start religiously at age 40, you'll be stronger at 45 than ever in your life
So, let's say the guy starts working out regularly at age 20 and maintains the routine for a few decades.
At what age will his max press generally peak?
20? 25? 30? 35? 40? 45?

there's no answer to this question it's not strictly age related but hormonal so if you look into the age of the average male when hormones are potentially peaking that would be a good guess but still not a good indicator
there are too many variables including the amount of time you've been trainingwho says love has to be soft and gentle ?

You could look at the records. Here's bench records for 100kg lifters.
Teen 15-19 200
Junior 20-23 232.5
Open 255
Master 40-44 210
45-49 250
50-54 245
55-59 200
60-64 172.5
65-69 140
70-74 145

Some anomalies in a few catergories, like the 40-44 and 55-59.

If you stand in a place where you know in your heart things are wrong, most things around you will never be right.
Rule number one, never work at being what another man defines as being "honorable", Honorable is is being true to what you know and and doing what you know is right for you..

I can read just fine.
Not sure what you're talking about.
Pick out the highest number in this list.
Teen 15-19 200
Junior 20-23 232.5
**Open 255
Master 40-44 210
**45-49 250
**50-54 245
55-59 200
60-64 172.5
65-69 140
70-74 145
Open has no age range, so it was ignored.
The ranges with highest number is 45-49 and 50-54
So, I said 45-55.
Now, care to clarify your statement?

I didn't notice that the entire range of 24-39 was missing.
Well, that doesn't really narrow it down them.
Especially since 40-44 is way lower than 45-54....
How does no one on this forum know the answer to such a simple question.
You people have read 20 PDF books about lifting and this topic hasn't come up once?
