I actually think it's brilliant. It's very sexual, but in a totally playful and non-threatening way. It's hard to put up resistance to someone who seemingly goes about things with so much innocence and energy. He also uses the childish playfulness to get very aggressive touches in very quickly, like he basically just grabs both of the girls he gets extremely quickly in the interaction.

^^ IMO both girls were intoxicated, but that doesn't take away from it.
Alright, I need all hands on deck that are still awake. I went out with one of my friends tonight, who's in a bit of a dry spell and rapidly approaching FA status in his head if we don't break this soon. Tomorrow is an event called Latinfest in my neighborhood, which is basically a giant dance party including salsa, merengue, reggaeton, etc. I was basically the wingman for my friend tonight (I opened sets with groups of girls where he was targeting 1, etc.) and got 3 numbers out of it as a stopgap measure with my mediocre salsa and merengue skills, and basically no knowledge of any other latin beats. He's Puerto Rican and a much better dancer than I am, plus is decent looking even though he's a foot shorter than I am. Unfortunately, he didn't get any numbers, though he was choosing 8-9/10s fairly cold and had pretty significant approach anxiety and never really got involved. I'm pretty sure we can meet with at least two of the groups of girls whose numbers I got (both of which are perfect for approaches; they have 6-8 girls and no guys) tomorrow, and I'm hoping to make this the best experience possible for him. The two things I did tonight as we were walking home were: (1) ask him to think of three things that he wanted in a girl, and make them into questions. He picked intelligence, adventurousness, and drive. We worked on how to make those into questions to lead conversation with, with an eye on having the mindset that he gets to screen girls while they are screening him. We also worked on how he's going to approach and open girls that he likes while forming his own style that will start to frame the conversation. My question is if anyone else has ideas on how to make tomorrow a good time for him. He's really committed to it and will absolutely be able to keep a girl's interest once he gets going--he's damn funny (way funnier than I am), fairly smart, and is pretty well grounded. I tried to just drill in to him that he should talk to girls the way he talks to me, and we worked on ways to accomplish that.
If anyone has ideas on that between now and 11:00 EDT (or even after; I'll check), please let me know. I want to get my bud's confidence back so that he can get his mind back in the right place. My log:

I am confused, he's going to screen these girls tomorrow with questions about what he's looking for? Or he's going to act like himself?
Truly and honestly, I am at my most confident around when I am challenged and observed by my friends. If someone pushes me to go talk to a girl, I'll do it. I literally mean like a dare. If I try to go-it-alone I can do sheet.
I'm sorry that isn't much help, but maybe I can start the convo.SF Bay Area Crew

how is he on a dry spell again?
he doesn't need anything else than what he already has.
maybe just aim a bit lower on the girl until he get's his confidence back. 9 & 10s are not where you wanna aim when you trying to get back into the game.
will just keep getting turned down and then even more confidence lost. shoot for lower, succeed, aim higher, repeat.Iron & Ice Cream.

I was hoping that was gonna do it; we did try that. The biggest thing that I saw going wrong is that he wasn't being himself. He was also not approaching confidently, but that's something that's gonna come with a long dry spell. He'd go into conversation, let the girl dictate how the conversation was gonna go, and then fail tests. This continued even after I started opening the girls and had him come in and break someone off. The reason we started talking about the things he wanted were to get ideas on things that he could turn into conversation and be completely confident and discerning with them. I think people generally respond well to being challenged to meet expectations (the pickup community I think calls this DHV, though I think most pickup language tends to obscure what is actually happening).
Totally. The problem is he doesn't act any differently around attractive girls and average looking ones; it's really just a thing around all people he doesn't know right now. That's why I just want to get him having good and fun conversations right now. Baby steps. My log:

Super off topic, but lee you gave me some good inspiration to go out and shoot at Lehigh university. I'm out today scouting and getting some good ideas plus shooting. Many interesting things I never saw before. I'll upload some of my finds today, but good stuff mane

Glad I provided some inspiration. If we'd had more time then I'd love to have shot more, but the aesthetics of a campus is really not important in reality (although it makes for an enjoyable visit). It was a really beautiful campus. Visited Immaculata and Widener yesterday. Immaculata was a pretty campus and very serene. Widener was by far the least impressive looks wise.

Speaking of beautiful and serene, if you go into Philly there's Shofuso Japanese Garden and House in fairmount. It was honestly amazing. Small, but really just gave you the feeling of calm.
I'm a picture whore - more than just selfies lol. I'm not remotely skilled at drawing or anything that takes artistic ability, but photography is nice, because it simply requires you to see the beauty around you.

@Lee...will definetly need to check it out one day. I've been in philly only around center street/walnut street/ the shopping areas with the gf, but i've never travelled to far out. Japanese gardens do interest me. With photography, i think people tend to forget especially in todays DSLR age, that there are specific rules of composition, lighting/etc that create good photos. Thats another discussion although. I would need to spend some time exploring philly. I really like the reading terminal and chinatown. The colors and contrast there is great. The fish in the pond look good, and you captured the scene well.
Well here are some scouting pictures i shot today. Some i'm working on editing, so they aren't done yet...but might as well share. These are all at lehigh u. I'm gonna scout the area once again to find stuff.
^^that building was held by the owner of bethlehem steel.
last time i went to philly a week ago was to go to reading terminal Wasn't really after shooting photos, but heres a pic i shot...interesting place:
i've never been to either. But if i get a chance, i'll try to hit up immaculata. You are right wiedner looks not very interesting."Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow"

such a different atmosphere than a large public institution that's for sure.
kinda nice in some ways since we got dem huge endowments which means top of the line... everything.
but worth it for an environment where everyone is too busy studying and researching and working to stop and smell the roses or take care of themselves? tough.
brown, despite being an Ivy, was so much more relaxed I noticed. though technically in the rankings we're higher so that could be part of it. Though, I'm pretty sure a school like Berkeley (higher than us by a few spots) isn't nearly as neurotic :/
