Why all the negativity misc?

Most miscers are negative because they are teenagers/really young dudes on the internet, they think they can just say whatever. As i get older im nicer now both irl and on the internet.

I like your posts because they make me laugh and smile. I see a few height threads and race bait sh*t, then you say something hilarious that is so innocent it gives me hope that not all people are misanthropes.

It is often used in a disparaging way. If it inconveniences you I recommend sending a message to an admin. Not blowing you off but it's not something mods can change.

But I think the rep system can also be the solution. I regularly rep people who go toe to toe with hateful posters and people who post positive things, etc.

My rep power has done fine without me posting things like what you listed and without posting hateful/negative things.

I hold no allegiance. I keep my mouth shut about things that went on behind closed doors because I'm a man of my word, but beyond that, the staff all know that I have no problem expressing my opinions whether it be for OR against them. I just often refrain from the latter because I have a certain way of expressing myself that would likely lead to a ban (and since they are a fair bunch, they're not going to play favorites simply because I used to work with them. I am not above the law.)

I'm just able to speak first hand since I've seen things from both sides.
It happens the same way every time.

People complain about too much (insert anything here: racism/misogyny/anti-semitism/etc). Steps are taken to curb it. Then it's complaints about too much censorship.

Trinity is so nice. I posted a food thread the other night and she left me a really nice message even though it was a day later. Wasn't even a 10/10 meal either. You could tell the Misc has been negative because I was actually taken aback that someone would take the time to leave a positive message lol.

I agree. Seen both sides as well and there is no happy medium for anyone and for those that think its an "us vs them" where mods and members are concerned, mods can confirm that myself and some mods had our battles when I was a mod. That's life. I've experienced so much real life in the past year that some things you miscers complain about here wants me to climb through my computer and shove my foot up your @$$es! Real talk! Its a forum...Entertainment (misc that is). Stop getting your titties tied up in a flipping knot over petty crap. Enjoy this place sensibly which is in place for free.

Deep down the Misc is a business and the owners of the site want to maintain or get even more traffic. Regardless how anyone spins it, there's good mods and there's mods who will do as they please. OP could challenge people to change and be more positive, but that's like going to a hangout full of gangbangers and telling them to drop their banging ways. It's not going to happen. The negativity here isn't a two-three person thing. If anything it's the majority. I often see BB.COM staff downplay the issue. I just don't see an enough effort by BB.COM staff to prevent sh*t from happening. When sh*t does happen like the College kid who shot all those people, then BB.COM reacts. If you take off your tinfoil hat for a second, you'll realize that what is really going on is that a balance is trying to be maintained. The forum is here for people to enjoy, but of course you're going to get people who push things too far. And unfortunately, some sheep are going to go along with the herd to try to look "edgy" or cool. When something becomes enough of an issue, then an effort is made to restore the balance. For every person that thinks the balance is too strict, there is another who thinks it's too lenient.

In any event, where that balance lies is up to the decision of the site owners and administrators. The handful of moderators simply do their best to keep the balance.

But personally, I find the accusation that anyone here wants people to be killed to drum up sales insulting.
