I'd go for the used Honda or Toyota approach. An Accord or a Camry would suite you well. I'd probably get an Accord if I were in your shoes. I test drove a 2012 Honda Accord before. They run nice, have great gas mileage, are reliable, have good resale value, and they're affordable. Just don't buy a new one.

Edit: You can even save yourself ~$1,000 if you get a manual transmission. Automatics are always more expensive.

1. Never buy new unless exactly what you want must be ordered.
2. Never buy a mercedes and expect not to lose your ass during the course of ownership.
3. Buy a used AWD 996 911. It'll be a much better car and cost less money to maintain.

OP, yes you can afford this car if you finance it, but think about whether or not it is worth laying down 40k+ (with interest) this early in your life. I'm in the same boat as you almost. I don't intend on spending money on a car I'd like to own for another 3-5 years, and even in that case I'll buy a used model that's a year or two older.

Think for the future man, don't splurge as soon as you have some $.
