you wanna make bank in the civilian world but also have a pretty hard dull job? contracting.

i think firefighting would be pretty sweet.

Also didnt qualify for contracting. Ive pretty much crossed security forces and and any maintenance jobs off my list.

Why no finance?

i eventually wanna be an RN but if i cant land a medical job im willingto do any admin job basically. I also have down some some admin general jobs but yea. Firefighter would be cool.

i could keep trolling and maybe u go to the recruiter and say finance... i couldn't live with myself. just don't do it.

if you want to see the world try to be aircrew. i wish i would have done it... 20k bonus when i enlisted. loadmaster just didnt sound cool when choosing off a list of 50 jobs.

if you really just want to focus on college, have it paid for and serve then look at the air national guard. most states will pay for 100% of tuition at a state school that the guard wing is in and you work 2 days a month 15 days a year. pretty good deal.

Jesus ****ing Christ I hate this ****ing dfac at his base. It's hands down the worst ****ing food to the point where I grab a ****ing MRE to eat or eat an entire day's worth of calories at breakfast. Cus you can't **** up scrambled eggs.

The best part is Everyone knows it's ****. The fss chief asked if there was anything thing about the base could be improved. I told him make the ****ing food not taste like a $1.50 school lunch and he gets butt hurt about it.

It's been 2 ****ing years and the food hasn't improved one ****ing bit. I'm about to ****ing go crazy. Even when I put on staff I have to eat there and I know for a ****ing fact they serve the same **** at every base so why the **** is this one so ****ing ****.

I didnt pass the depth perception test so no air jobs for me. lol. i dont have many options so thats why i was narrowing it down to admin jobs or hopefully a medical one. Ive looked into the ANG but really wanna go active duty for 4 years.

Sounds like you scored really low on the ASVAB. Look into fire fighter. Better than SecFo and more time to do college. Firefighters are always winning the awards and BTZ in the squadron. Don't need a high ASVAB score.

Do you have a QoL meeting every month on your base?
This was brought up at ours and they jumped right on it.

Part of it is probably because we are Cannon and they are really trying to turn the negative talk that comes about this place, but it's a good place to bring this stuff up.

Computer Systems
Computer Surety

Anyone know how these types of jobs are day to day? I've been told these carry over into post military life well and these by far interest me the most.

Lots of friends in Geospatial Intel. There are 2 types, most likely 1n1a will pop up. Be prepared to look at pictures all day if you get this. If 1n1b pops up, you are a targeteer, think about it. It's pretty cool.

To elaborate on the 3 letter agency thing. I'd say the agency 1n1's are good for is the NGA. If you kill it or stay in long enough, I'm sure other agencies will hire. The thing is, besides the TS clearance, you're suited for one job.

If you get an intel job or firefighter job, I can tell you all about tech school life and a little about the job.
