SInce this is cleveland/the cavs, I'm betting on Minnesota to win the 2015 championship. Wiggins and bennett will be all stars and average 50 points combined.

It's a good move for them. Before those two can contribute (if they ever would) to a championship team LeBron would probably start declining. Plus they get Love who just entered his prime and has several prime years left. So for one POTENTIAL star, one player who looks like a bust at this point, and a future protected pick they get the best PF in the game at the beginning of his prime years. Might end up that the Wolves end up with two busts and a crap draft pick and the Cavs get two championships.

They have no shot at a championship this year with Kyrie+Wiggins+LeBron. Maybe in two years, but LeBron is going to be 30 in 4 months, he might be near prime for a couple more years but after that?

I talked about siging Love next year a million phucking times on here and why it won't work so I'm not going to rehash. Short version is it won't work financially for the Cavs with the cap rules. They get him now, it changes how the contract works with the cap. If they sign him straight up FA you are talking ~ $22m for Lebron (who will be looking for an extention at that point so might cost more), $24M for Love, $15m for Kyrie. That's $61m for just those three. Now, because Love is traded the Cavs can use the Bird rule to sign him , if he is signed as FA they can't. It gives them a ton more flex with the roster if they trade for him.
