Can anyone tell me about amazon % for affiliates.I am looking at their Fixed Advertising Fee Rates for Specific Product Categories.

Do I get % of sale price or is it calculated differently?

For example it says 4% for dvd products.Say DVD costs 10$,will I get 0.4$ for that sale or is it 4% of something else like 4% of 2$ profit that Amazon makes for that dvd sale?

4% of the sale untill you sell 7 products then you get 6% of each sale and it keeps going up as you get more sales. I got banned from Amazon Associates so I can't look at the commission tree.

I really don't know actually. Just one day I tried to log in and my account had been removed. I usually get banned from anything that has too many rules and regulations anyway so it was no shocker to me. I pretty much only promote clickbank products now because there are minimal rules and no application for affiliates or anything.

I know several of you dudes are very successful with selling the T-shirts and stuff with social media. Maybe I can achieve simillar with skateboards?

Sounds like a good plan. I used to be into the skateboard scene from 99-2003 how's it nowadays? I see people with longboards now, which I find odd. I still get nostalgic over fisheye skate videos, skate shoes, waxed curbs hnnnng

Looks pretty simple, but good. I was gonna say get rid of the white font on the main image, but it appears it's apart of the theme lol. I'd add a social media plugin if I was you.

Do you know anything about skateboarding? I freestyle bmx but im very close to the skate scene as well. Boards come in different lengths etc. Plus skateboarders trust certain brands over others. Young kids call other young kids posers because one of them may have a toy machine deck instead of a plan b. If its something you don't know much about i wouldnt recommend it. If you do though try and go for it.

Go to the CSS file and find

.site-title
{font-size: 160px;
font-size: 8.88888888888889rem;
line-height: 1.1;
}

and add this:

text-shadow: 10px 0 black, 0 1px black, 1px 0 black, 0 -1px black;


should end up looking like

Do the same for .site-description{

The lack of contrast on the landing page annoys me a lot. That'll fix it.

Couldn't hurt to play around with themes while in the early stages. Yeah ideally you'd want 3 or 4 products products at a time. Gonna have to get decent traffic for amazon links though.

I'm already pretty much re-thinking the whole thing lol. I told myself awhile back that I would stay away from any businesses that are based on trends or sub-cultures. It's just too hard for me to follow

I can produce original content for blogs, write reviews/product descriptions, half decent copywriter, I know how to use excel effectively. It's been a long time since I've coded on wordpress. Try finding an assets folder in the UI or google "how to modify CSS in wordpress". I know it can be done relatively easily.

Looking at root path of your css file it looks to be here on your local server: /wp-content/mu-plugins/global-print/global-print.css

Once you open that file do ctrl+f for "site-title" and the syntax should match what I posted.
