New raid drops on Tuesday. As for power leveling, when I started up my alt guardian I took him straight into crucible at level 2 and didn't even run story missions again until he was around level 15. Then I was running heroic level missions for 5-6k XP instead of 1800 or whatever the base is.

don't know anything about the trading/upgrading either, that's a recent thing and I haven't played in a while.

I think Bungie made it so that all the best weapons from a few weeks ago get another upgrade that you can buy from Xur?

also Xur is just some dudes that shows up on the weekends and sells exotic weapons for strange coins/motes of light.
You can get strange coins by doing the weekly heroic missions, and motes of light are random drops.

Honestly never liked Xur.
******* gives out all the exotic weapons like candy and now everyone on destiny has the same "super rare" weapons.


Destiny is honestly a joke. Bungie has no idea how to make a game like this.

As far as armor goes your goal is to get an exotic piece and 3 legendary pieces to go with it. The 3 legendary pieces you have must be raid gear which you acquire from the Vault of Glass. If you have an exotic and 3 pieces of raid gear you'll get to 30 (All armor upgraded of course). If you have 3 pieces of regular legendary gear and 1 exotic piece you'll be level 29 but not 30. If you have 4 pieces of legendary gear and no exotic piece you'll be a high 28.

As for the Xur he comes every weekend (Friday and Saturday) and he sells exotic weapons and gear which you need strange coins to buy. He also sells exotic shards which you need once you fully upgrade an exotic weapon or armor piece. He also sells ammo packs and sparrows.

I think even as a 27 you can do 28 heroic stories. At least I have. But the absolute best place to get shards and energy are from raids. If you have a trouble finding people just go on the bungie.net forums. If you are on PS4 you can add me also ..I usually have no problem putting groups together

That sucks brah. I went and signed up on the neogaf forums. They have an awesome Destiny Community over there. There's one dude who takes a team of Raid Noobs and leads em through the Vault of Glass every week. Always ppl looking to raid and don't look down on players who haven't raided before.

If not, just get up to 27-28 - raids not that difficult if you're not a complete moron and can listen. Shouldn't be too hard to find a group.

hey brahs i have a theory. since the are changing the Cryptarch and making lvl up slower since his legendary engram % is going up. i wonder if storing all the stuff for him in the vault for my three characters and just turning it in using one character would be more beneficial?

Just saw you were on 360 ..that's probably why its hard to find a team. Ps4 community is probably bigger than 360 but idk. It's usually not hard at all for me to find a raid even as a level 26-27

They've already done it. The gains per engram were halved. Knowing Bungie, his purple engram % probably went from 5% to 6%.

I only level on character with the Cryptarch anyway. In all honesty, I've seen less purples since the patch. Plus the 2x grind.
