Forum Buddy – Browser Extension: Notifications for when you are quoted in a post!

can you give me step by step process? inb4 poverty noob

1) logout of bodybuilding.com
2) close browser completely
3) open browser
4) clear cookies, images, and files:

5) close browser completely
6) open browser
7) go to http://forum.bodybuilding.com/
8) login using the remember function
9) pray it works

if it doesn't, its an underlying issue that I cant really diagnose sitting over here between bb.com and your computer

logged in to notice that forumbuddy wasn't on my toolbar anymore, went to the app store and this is what it said:

Try removing the app completely then reinstalling it and let me know if that works. It is working fine for me, unless someone else can chime in.

Btw, today the extension crashed twice but immediately restarted on its own. Its not affecting the extension just thought you should know. Next time it does it, I'll try to screen it fast enough to show you what it says.

the first thing I am going to do when I get a job is re-write the whole code base while porting it to firefox and try to add some universal functionality to it so it works with other forums (also update the UI).

New in Version 1.4.1
- Popup notifications are now disabled until initialization is over.
- The extension now continues to work when the Forum Buddy server goes down.
- New quotes are now dynamically added when Forum Buddy is open in the popup or popout.
- Fixed issue of popup window growing in width due to URLs and long words not breaking.
- Fixed avatar not displaying on Account Refresh.
- Overall performance enhancement.

Popup Notification Functionality
- Popup notification shows for 5 seconds then disappear.
- A maximum of 3 notifications will show at one time.
- When you click the popup notification, a new browser tab will open bringing you to the post then that post in Forum Buddy gets marked as read.
- When you click the 'x' on the popup notification, the notification bubble will close and the post will not get marked as read.
- Popup notifications will appear even when you don't have a browser tab open to let you know the second that you have been mentioned/quoted.
- Popup notifications are disabled for the initial quote retrieval and automatically enabled afterwards as a default setting.
- You can disable popup notifications by right clicking the forum buddy icon, going into options, and unchecking “Popup Notifications” in Account Settings.

I really like this idea, ill conceptually try to figure out someway to implement it. I would probably have to set up my server to receive statistics that the user can opt-into if they would like to have their stats sent and "ranked"

if you're not logged into the forums when you start up your computer you'll have to refresh the accounts in the settings after you login. it will automatically work if you use the "remember me" function on the forums
