Is it possible to at least temporarily go on a quest bar diet only?
Say for a week or so
Would you be hungry?
Would you have enough energy?
Would you get enough nutrients temporarily if you were taking a good multi and drinking lots of water?
I love quest bars so much and want to try this
Might be good for a cut too

Why would you even want to try this? Not only the high fiber, but that would be damned expensive too.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

I did this unintentionally for 3 days. Typhoon hit here (okinawa). I was stuck in my office sleeping on the floor for 72 hours, with only bottled water and quest bars in supply. It gave me some stomach issues, and the taste began to decline quickly, but otherwise, I felt okay. I wouldn't say I lost weight, but then again it was only 3 days.

^ This.
Why do you really want to do this? Are you just tired of trying to figure out meals that hit your macros? You know it probably costs a lot less to hire someone to write you a solid meal plan than to blow all of this money on a whole bunch of bars. And if the Lemon Cream Pie bar is in the mix you're really going to regret it.

I really do like them though
It's quite literally the only processed food I still eat on a regular basis (unless you count dark chocolate, nut butters, etc...everything has got some form of 'processing')
edit: also, I've mentioned this before, but I think the price is easily justifiable. They're expensive sure, but protein as a macronutrient in general is expensive. You can get cheaper options (eggs, chicken, etc.), but I genuinely enjoy the taste of Quest, and getting all that fiber is additional benefit for the price. I also very rarely eat out, so spending $20 on Quest Bars for the week is easily justifiable when many people spend that on a single meal, multiple times a week
edit edit: I also haven't found Varlhona or Michel Cluizel in Canada :PLast edited by cls91; 08-02-2014 at 07:49 AM.

Nutritional ketosis requires explicit reduction of CHO intake to generally lower than 50 g/d and, for some, <30 g/d. Protein must also be restricted, often to <1.8 g/d per kg body mass and sometimes to < 1.2 g/d per kg, with remaining calories composed from fat.
