Just move past it. Forget she ever said it. Women, especially the one you're describing put a huge amount of self worth on what they "have/own/control". I don't mean that negatively, but as you say, if she lives with you, spends all her time with you, and does everything for YOU, than obviously you are her life.

If you take away the thing which gives her day to day 90% of its meaning, of course she is going to feel broken/alone/etc/etc.
