Nice dead workout yesterday Shawn. That 3 @ 495 looked awesome! I like the sound of that mock meet for next week...I'll be curious to see what you do. I think John is right and you might surprise yourself by knocking the bench out of the park.

Thanks Holly, ya the highbar felt pretty good. If I could lift more weight with it I would probably switch over. Might be good to bring in as an accessory though.

Ok I am going to run a Mach meet with cuz on Friday. Some light, low volume work on Tuesday but other than that eat, be lazy and recover for Friday.
I will run it similar to a meet with 3 attempts for each lift.
Squats first, bench second and deads last.
Should be a good experience if anything to get a bit of a feel for what to expect maxing out 3 lifts in one day☻/

Ya this should be fun DNG and appreciate the support of course! We will see how nervous I get...lifting in make belief meet.. with my training partner/family member...in the comfort of my own basement...

Ok suckers, day 3 of no gym under the belt
Kids soccer tournament today followed by twins actual family bday party. I ate a few tons of hotdogs, a burger, potato salad, a large portion of tuna pasta salad and washed it all down with a large slab of cake (for John)

It was Shane! So…if eating pizza the day before is good…maybe eating it daily is better?? Mock meet will be fun for sure. I think it will be valuable pushing all 3 lifts in one day to see what it's all about.

Ya I was getting a tad stir crazy today. I did some mobility and stretching. Tomorrow I will do some light weight, light volume blood flow work and that's it before the mock meet on Friday.
Thanks Ray, it was a productive 5 week cycle. I got stronger and dialed in some better form. See what happens Friday, have never taken this kind of time off before just coming in and maxing out…exciting

lol, doing something anyway. Going to try to keep up the slobulance eating up until Friday. I am honestly starting to have trouble trying to get more food in. I love to eat but when I am trying to do it on purpose it's just not the same. I want to hit Friday as strong as I can be.
