Thought we could do with a discussion on here that isn't "does this showing beat that showing?" for once, so here goes:
Choose a pro (past or present) and say which mandatory pose you think is their strongest and weakest (and why), with pics of course.
To get us started:
Phil Heath
Strongest: Rear lat spread.
Ridiculously complete and thick from head to toe, no current pro can match his completeness or separation in this pose.
Weakest: Front lat spread.
This pose really exposes Phil's structural flaws (narrow clavicles, less than ideal chest shape), and his quads although separated look rather undersized (although his posing doesn't help). He looks far better in this pose when he just relaxes a bit (see below).
Ronnie Coleman
Strongest: Back double biceps.
Just ridiculously huge and separated all over, no one touches Ronnie in this pose (admittedly you could argue almost any pose was Ron's best, the guy was that damn good).

Weakest: Side triceps.
This pose just doesn't suit Ronnie's structure. His massive arms look much smaller than they are, and his physique just looks rather awkward in this pose.
The 98 version here looks far better than the others imo.
Dexter Jackson
Strongest: Side chest.
Complete, shredded all over and hides all his flaws (even his calves look awesome). Great pose for Dexter.
Weakest: Ab and thigh.
Exposes his flaws (missing lat chunk, lack of calves, undersized quads, midsection tapers outwards, noticeable distension) and doesn't really show his strengths, not pretty at all imo.
Couldn't find a shot from the Master's O (his best showing imo), anyone have one?

Agreed with everything in this thread, although, I wouldn't put Jay's Ab&Thighs as being his worse pose, his Crab MM or SC would take it, IMO.
Kai's strongest pose ;
Back double bicep
It's a beautiful pose for Kai, not only does it have that "freaky" massive aspect, but it flows perfectly due to the fact that he has so much flare to his lats, put together with a great quad sweep flare, making his waist look small and creating that perfect "X" frame, it is also a by-product of his flawless posing in that pose.
A combination of Jay's flaring lats that gives the impression that they're about to burst out of his skin, Haney's low insertions and vast lats coverage, and Ronnie's unbelievable thickness, all put into one and balanced out to give you Kai's current BDB.
Forget his back development, his leg development is incredible when he's in condition, every single muscle is detailed, massive and flows perfectly, all the way from the meticulous details from his calves, to the incredible separation, size and definition his hamstrings present, all to finish a perfectly balanced gluteus, leading up to the waist and then, the batman flare lats. Let us not forget the peaks his biceps have, another Coleman-esque feature he has.
Kai's weakest pose ;
Side tricep
Despite his phenomenal leg development, his torso is dull-looking compared to all his other poses.Last edited by RoroCwalker; 07-24-2014 at 06:46 PM.

A lot of mixing and matching of eras happening ITT.
Come on guys, be fair to the pros. Don't compare someone's best showing to their final half-assed appearance five minutes before retirement.We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.
IFBB brahs über alles.
