Where to buy Ivanko Revolvers?

I think I'm ready to upgrade my current York/Cap plates to Ivanko Revolvers. I've been scanning craigslist for everything within a 5 hour drive for almost 2 months and I still haven't seen anything pop up. I'm getting to the point where I may just buy new. A google search shows only a handfull of places that sell them, can anyone make a recommendation? I'll probably get 600lbs-1000lbs depending on price so I don't want to make a mistake here.

And for the sole purpose of avoiding the first person to highlight it, I did do a search. The threads seem old and it appears that the pricing has changed in the last two years. Additionally, a few of places that used to sell them either no longer do so or they are out of business.

On the dealer portion of the Ivanko website they say Iron Company

In Canada they are over $2 a pound to buy new OM's, so maybe keep hunting Craigs or give a location and someone may be able to direct you to a used dealer.

Yea, Iron Company looked like the best deal so far from my search. I am in PA, outside of Philadelphia.

it's going to be hit or miss out here, you will really have to be diligent. Fitness Exchange might have them, not sure.

If you can get to Wakefield, Massachusetts, there's a guy selling 45s and 25s. It's a start!

Out here in SoCal, I see Ivanko "Revolvers" on Craigslist regularly...am I wrong or are the Ivanko's more of a West Coast plate...? I NEVER see York's out here, and
they definitely seem to be an East Coast thing...

Yep, Yorks galore out here on Craigslist but rarely Ivanko's and almost never the EZ Grip (revolvers). Probably has to do with shipping rates.

You are correct--Ivanko is located in CA. It makes sense that there would be more of them in CA.


Here on the East Coast, vintage Yorks probably are somewhat more common than Ivankos, at least in my experience. I'm sure it helps that I am located in PA.

There is Absolute Fitness Solutions in York - call and ask if they have any, they're stock in used equip is always changing.

If you want to buy a big set of revolvers go directly with ivanko barbell. Send them an email asking for a quote including shipping and they will answer in less than 48 hours normally. I think it is your best bet. I have bought some revolvers here in Canada a year ago and paid near 3$ a pound and it totaĺly worth it! These plates are awesome and you wont regret paying a lot more for a lifetime investment

They are in San Pedro (next to LB). I've seen a handful of York's down here, but still fairly scarce. I missed out on some milled York's since the seller went to another buyer for more than $1/lb.

Just found a 255lb set that still has stickers on it for $550 shipped so at least I have a start. Just 700 more lbs to go!

I also wondered if anyone uses the Eleiko competition plates? The chromed ones look awesome IMO but I never see anyone posting about them let alone found them for sale. They are expensive but not quite as much as the Ivanko competition plates. Elite FTS sells them.

Well then you East coast and West coast guys are lucky, all I find out here in Texas is your typical standard barbell olympic plates. Very rarely does York, Ivanko, or even Hampton pop up.

check your area for gym equipment dealers. A lot of those places sell a ton of used equipment including ivanko You might just have to do some cold calling. Coincidently I'll be picking up some used OM's from a dealer by me

I'm in San Antonio also but like everyone says you will pay more due to the shortage but it's still less than retail not including shipping. I found my 255 lb rubber revolvers in Austin for a good deal but that was after a year of looking on craigslist. I also found my chrome plated ivankos after haggling for several weeks for less than what is on clearance at the ivanko website (after adding shipping to the quote).

I wouldnt mind revolvers but they are even more rare than the ‘luxury‘ plates im collecting . The only ivankos ive ever seen on craigslist were the rubo plates.

The kind where the texas logo is embossed onto the end on the pin.

Thanks, I did see those, and happen to be going there in 2 weeks for vacation but already decided that I will wait for the non rubber coated revolvers to show up. I realized I may be waiting awhile though. My rubber coated Intek grip plates will have to hold me through in the mean time (also nice plates).
