"Wow I'm in this pic so is my aunts and u guys will be sued and the police will be after the creator of this page," she posted in the photo's comment section.
She later updated to say she had reported the site to police.

social media "shaming" too mean and equated to cyber-bullying

i mean, there are lots of issues with people and weight and sensitivity, embarrassment, discrimination, etc...
the one thing people need to NOT do about obesity is to accept it as an unavoidable thing...fatties need to learn that they can be not fat, and people making fun of fatties need to be ignored, because let's face it people will make fun of anyone.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

They are in a bad spot, they know it. Let's get it out in the open that's no big deal and can be dealt with fairly simply.
Unfortunately the industry treats working out like you gotta go full blast and have zero fun doing it.
Once they aren't self conscious and find a physical activity the enjoy, the light can be seen.

Everyone might disagree with me on this one but IDGAF. It's one thing if it's adults but to target overweight teens who already have a fragile ego and very little self worth is pathetic. These are still kids that are at the mercy of their parents to buy them proper food and make sure they aren't overdoing it and staying active. It is absolutely cyber bullying and shouldn't be allowed. Rant over.

Just my two cents;
I don't understand why people shame "fat" people. I mean, sure, it's a completely avoidable predicament. But I really don't see anything wrong with it, so long as the person is completely alright with being that way. Hell, there are people that just don't care about how they look and that's fine with me. Not everybody needs to be muscular, lean, or even skinny.
That being said, I think that we've become way too soft. Sure, it's not nice to make fun of anyone in general. But if somebody calls you fat, and you have a problem with it, then do something about it. Don't just run to your legal attorney and expect everything to be better--or even resolved. If you have trouble with your body image, then it's up to you to do something.
>.> I'm pretty sure that the law states that if you're in a public place, people are allowed to take your picture, though. I believe that this excludes any "private" places such as bathrooms, and the like. But if you're in a public facility, then anybody can take your photo without your permission--I believe that the exception to this rule is if, and when the photographer uses the photo for publishing/profit.

How about some other instances of social media shaming?
Recently a guy posted a recorded conversation with a rude Comcast customer service representative to shame the big cable company.
On July 4 a guy on a Florida beach caught two women stealing his beach tent and he posted his video (7 million views). He decided not to press charges, figuring their worldwide internet shaming was punishment enough.
How about the whole website People of Walmart?
