I'd probably do it, currently have and know how to properly use katanas in a fight. A proper katana can cut through a wood bat and/or a chimp skull with ease.

srs having two katanas is unnecessary; you would have better chances with one that has a hand and a half hilt and using a two handed hold

katanas are designed and forged to cut through bone without stagger, bone regardless of human or chimp
chimps have no idea what a katana is or what it can do to them so their positioning and attack gestures would more than likely leave them extremely vulnerable

not arguing this would be easy task but you do have a reasonable chance at killing 4 regular chimps that are armed with bats if you had a proper katana and unlimited fighting space; have no idea what bloodrage, is disregarding it

I don't think it works that way with animals. They tend to be very cautious and won't just run at your balls to the walls if you have the right body language. I've seen a man stare down a lion with nothing but a roll of toilet paper in his hand.
