15W-60 in a turbo four banger? Only on race days. Manual calls for 5W-30 but I think that's too thin for our climate.

Works for me. I give mine a good thrashing at least twice a day and then go back to driving it sedately. Blows all the crap out. Every time I spray upper engine cleaner into the intake before an oil change I never see any smoke. I also log OBD2 data on every drive so I can closely monitor AFR, boost/vacuum, fuel trims, MAF g/s, speed (GPS), RPM, etc. and look for anything unusual.

Plug a $10 bluetooth adapter into the OBD2 port, install Torque on your phone, and you can start logging. Plots everything on Google Maps.

Check this out. Sitting at the lights on 0, turn across intersection up a hill, exit turn and speed limit reached. Now if I got pinged I'd know exactly what speed I was doing.

What I like about the app is that it's always running as opposed to hooking up a laptop and Romraider which you're not going to do every drive and not with a passenger. So if I'm cruising along and something doesn't feel right I can go back and check the log.

It's a pretty useful app and it's probably worth getting a cheap Android phone just to run it. There is some data Subaru won't transmit over the adapter like oil temperature and pressure but there's plenty of useful information there to make it worth my time.

There's also a Track Recorder plugin for it that will overlay data on the phone camera's video feed.

Yeh it's awesome. My friend actually bought an old Samsung just to run it in his car. I might consider it down the track but no need cos it's gonna be staying stock until after warranty. That's the plan anyway
