I'm a black female who posts here and you've been here long enough to know what either side gets. I've had my pictures posted, racist name calling in messages and neg comments, called fat, ugly, a whore...and I all I do is post. But guess what? If someone is going out of their way to belittle a complete stranger who has done nothing to them, the problem lies with THEM not the person in question. They see something about themselves reflected in you that makes them want to cause an element of pain in order to make themselves feel better.

Change your focus. These people are nameless faceless individuals who don't pay your bills, feed and clothe you or your baby, put money in your palm at the end of a work week or lay next to you at night. Who the hell are they and why are you letting these people live rent free in your mind? Ok you don't think I'm pretty, and? What exactly is that supposed to do to you? Do you WANT them? To be WITH them? Do you even know them? So why should their perception about your looks matter to that extent? It shouldn't.

Keep improving. Seek your validation within as well...I say this because it seems like you're searching for that missing piece of acceptance and it's been with you this whole time. You just have to find it.

Actually, plenty of guys post pics here more than the handful of "attention whores" that you guys always call out do. And not one of them gets called out. Imagine if every girl here posted up threads of their progress pictures, or rate this outfit, or how are my facial aesthetics, you guys would go nuts.
