Hello, the aforementioned measurements are mine (seriously). I want to start lifting but I'm poor and i dont know dick about what I should be eating, people always tell me to 'just eat more' with no specifics. What should I do? I don't know anything about diet & nutrition and I can't cook, I feel like my arms are going to snap if I try to lift anything.
Im 22 and I look like this ffs, is there any hope?

I see homeless people who weight twice as much as you - so I doubt it's because of being poor. The suggestion to be treated for an eating disorder is not a joke.
At your weight you certainly could eat virtually whatever you want and you would gain muscle hand over fist if you started lifting and eating at a surplus. Overanalysing what you eat would be the absolute enemy of progress.
Just make 75% of what you eat whole or minimally processed foods (meat (including any fatty meat), eggs, dairy, nuts, wholegrains, fruit, veg and many others). The other 25% could certainly come from treat foods of any kind with no ill effects. Keeping adding more until you are consistently gaining weight.

Get your diet nailed down before you consider adding exercise of any sort. The last thing you want to do now is burn more calories. By getting your diet nailed down, I mean eating ALOT more than what you are now.

Thanks for the replies and concern fellas, I do intend to see a doctor before (if) I start. Is my weight really that unhealthy? I've been like this for atleast 3 years now without noticing any ill effects. Im sure you've heard this a million times already, but I have tried to gain to weight before, it just seems so ****ing hard, then again, I never really counted calories or anything

I greened him, trolling or not he needs help.
I have a friend who is 6'1 and weighs 124lbs. I tried everything to help him out and eat more, but he blames being poor...working at mcdonalds and not having means to fund himself to eat as an excuse (especially when i gave him food).
Please seek help, there are free programs to help you out no matter where you are."Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow"

For the sake of argument, OP, if this is legit, then I agree with the other advice about getting medical advice. Someone in your situation does not need to be following advice (such as the advice in the stickies about calculating your caloric intake) as the traditional advice is for someone not in your situation.
That being said, there are several posters here who have overcome eating disorders and gained significant muscle, but it is a long-term process where you have to be trained on how to think and view food differently than what you are used to.

Honestly didn't even think about it in terms of his username. I just don't think its right to downplay those who need help, but to encourage them to seek help and try to give positive support
On the other hand, now looking back at the situation, his username seems to insult an awful time in world history."Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow"

What's your problem? My name's a little edgy, but if I can't make fun of myself I might aswell kill myself now. Every question I have asked has been related to nutrition or body building so I don't see your issue there. You may be right I may be attention seeking a bit, but all I want is support, advice and a bit of boosted confidence to sort myself out for once.
In short, go **** yourself.

Listen dude. Don't start insulting people like that. You have a problem, and you are aware of it. Any comments insulting other members are gonna come off as trolling and insulting.
Just start recieving help and thats it.If you like, keep us posted, but if not its whatever. Just recieve help and don't insult people who's trying to help you."Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow"

If you are not an outright troll, then you seriously need help, physical and I suspect mental health. You seem to know you are sickly looking enough to call yourself auschwitz, equating your condition to a holocaust victim. That in itself is pretty twisted. Yet in spite of equating your condition to a holocaust victim you have to ask people on the internet "Is my weight really that unhealthy?" You also need guys on the internet to tell you to go see a doc?! None of this seems troubling to you?

If I wasn't troubled by it, I wouldn't be here....
Since I've been this weight for years now, without noticing any ill health effects I never thought going to see a doctor was necessary as I thought I could eat my way up to a normal health, I never knew the full extent of how unhealthy my weight is until today. That good enough for you?
It's a daft name maybe, but you can't seriously tell me you're offended by it, **** me.
I may be messed up in the head, I don't know, I'll leave that for another day.

I was showing a friend my progress pics yesterday and he txtd me that I look like Christian Bale in the Machinist. Having never seen the movie I took it as a complement cuz Christian Bale is pretty beastly. Then I googled it and wtf?! It's unfortunate that you are in the condition you are, but is great that you are ready to make a change. I'm glad I checked out this thread. But, yea your Username is inappropriate.

Dude, EAT SOME ****ING FOOD, you look sickly, that is not good, where you are at right now, you can eat anything you want, just start eating allot and putting on some weight, and stat lifting, once you stop looking sickly follow what this calculator tells you for bulking... just give it your weight, age and height and see how many calories, crabs and protein it suggest a day for bulking http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/
and you can use myfitenesspal.com to keep track of the food yo eat, it will tell you how many calories, and all of that other stuff the food you eat is giving you..
right now you should probably start eating about 3k calorie a day, pizza, fast food, what ever. after you get up to a heathy weight start eating healthy foods.
for the most part it does not matter what you eat, just how many calories and make sure you get the right amount of protein, carbs and fats in your diet. if you can hit those macro nutrients and the right amount of calories with heathy foods that is even better.
i eat allot of rice, eggs, chicken, veggies, oatmeal, peanut butter, pasta, a few slices of bread and have a protine shake each dayI hurt my back a while back and could not do much than got lazy for several years. In late 2013 I started lifting again, still have back problems but at least i am lifting again, cant go heavy on allot of stuff but i do what i can.
