well I think routines are super important because your setup can make or break a lift so doing things exactly the same over and over again allows you to be more consistent. Like when I set up to squat I grab the bar with both hands and breathe a few times and I'll say "su" a time or two then crawl under the bar. I'll rock my hips back and forth a time or two to feel set then I'll take it out. I do similar things with bench and deadlift just in their respective ways. But yeah, they're important to me to ensure I do things the same way every time. I've done it all my life in every sport I've ever competed in .

Yea I agree for sure. So some people were saying if you don't have alot of mass then a closer grip is more beneficial. Do you think the same with stance?
I recently played with moving my stance out just a little, but really shoving my knees out instead of letting them track forward more like usual, and I feel much weaker at the bottom of the squat. Like I don't have enough mass to support the weight with my body more "spread out"
And when I think about it most taller light lifters do seem to have a closer stance.

I feel like I am not able to squat effectively if I do not do the following before getting under the bar:
-Do the knee wiggle I get made fun of for.
-Crack my neck each way.
-Bend my back backwards to crack it on my belt before actually fastening it.
-Opening my mouth wide and closing it to try and crack my jaw.
-Pulling my sleeves slightly upwards on my shirt.

Right, but I don't necessarily see that being the case. For example, if I focus on keeping my upper back tight then grip width doesn't really affect that.
It does affect it if you forget to keep things tight, because obviously now the narrower grip will naturally have your scapulas closer etc. but if you think about it then I don't feel like you get any more tight.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

Thanks, I'll check these out. I've already gone through about half of Strong360s episodes today since all I've been doing is sitting around, playing Super Nintendo, and eating.
Unrelated question for you guys: does it make any damn difference if I do like 3x10 on an accessory instead of 2x15? Just like lat pulls or DB rows or something, not a major BB compound. Is there really more hypertrophy in a set with higher reps sets if the volume is the same at the end of the day?

One thing I heard was that the steel is loosely fitted so there is a bit of play in some adjustable parts. The fully welded stuff gets alright reviews, but there was a bit of concern over the thickness of steel that was used and that it perhaps should have been thicker. I don't know anything much about the competition setups, but the other equipment has been commented to be alright, but lacking in ergonomics or fit.

Water or Beer. I usually choose the latter of the two.
Also gotta brag a bit on my lil girl. She has never been allowed to bench before cuz daddy wouldn't let her. Anyhow in high school I guess she is benching now. Well one day anyhow. She laid down on the bench her first time ever and hit 95 x 10 and then 135 x 1. I didn't believe her really and figure bro spot for sure even though she said she threatened her spotter to not touch the bar. So that night after pitching and hitting I took her over to the gym. With literally a single at 95 for a warm up she hits 135 EASY! Sorry dad brag time is over now.

I laughed but yes I will kill you.
Also I lied. Dad brag time is not over. My 12 year old daughter did 45, 65, and 85. She missed 95 but only cuz she started giggling like a tard cuz her bar path was all over the place and she blurted out, "That dang bar must be crooked." So of course I started crackin up and she started giggling. Yes she is my clown.
