N am I less manly that I am starting to pull sumo?
Since about a month ago I hit 585x6 and 585x4-5 lifting with a buddy n felt good that day. Hit a 635 double for the second time a couple weeks later. N since those two days my conventional dl has felt awkward n slow. Almost feels like im stiff legging it though video says otherwise.
Pulling Sumo last couple weeks I feel super explosive again and fast off the floor (surprising). 6-7 weeks out wut do fam220 Raw w/wraps

If you think Turnquist's competition squats look high, you should see his training squats. Even worse. And he always posts them as "#2 All-Time Ranked Squat @ 198" and then it's just some mile high lift he did in training at who knows what bodyweight. Even the Lilliebridges comment and say "Hey... nice effort, but you need to work on depth," and he replies "I'm not too worried about it, that's my planned opener."

600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.

the quick succession of these comments had me loling in real life
good job gentlemen
I'm going through issues with the gf (yes 21, yes long time relationship, yes stupid) and I want to binge spend money on a barbell or any type of equipment or something.
If somebody gave you 300 bucks, and you had to spend it on equipment what would you get? I have a TPB, 700lbs total in plates, home made power rack, crappy flat bench.http://www.youtube.com/user/njvfevfw

If money is tight I'd go to fitnessavenue.ca. 100 bucks canadian for a SSB. Pads are cheap removable ones, but the bar has help up strong with a littler over 500 pounds. It's serviceable and way way cheaper.

If you don't care what your girlfriend thinks, spend it on a hooker.

Either a SSB or a swiss bar. Not sure how your shoulders feel, but I've been able to put a ton more volume on my upper body while preserving my shoulders since I began using a swiss bar regularly.

Fitness Avenue is mediocre equipment sold my sketchball Russians. I have the more expensive SSB from there (didn't see it on the site) and it's decent for around $200. The bar shown shows the measurements for a reason...it may not fit in all power racks (Igor or Yuri said this to me in person) so be aware of that when ordering. Their rack are really inexpensive but as long as you're not Robert Wilkerson you should be fine. I'm sure a master welder could pick apart their production but for the $$$ they can't be beat in Canada IMO.

Basic review stuff, is your bar chipping? is it balanced well, if the bearings spin well(I don't think ssb's usually spin though) does that degrade quickly with use? do the pads slip on the bar after unracking or does everything stay solid?
That kind of stuff, plus anything else you may have noticed, both good and badIt'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

Id get a good incline bench that would end up being better than your crappy flat one imo.
also fam, hit another lifetime rep pr on deads.
Modded Sheiko ftw.Best total: 1715 (600-415-700) raw with wraps.

Looking at benches
The $90 shipping from strengthshop, but it only $20 less than the ss bar from blackwidow. Is blackidowtg more reputable than strength shop?http://www.youtube.com/user/njvfevfw
