I'm entitled to my opinion, just like everyone else here.I don't think its appropriate to make comments like that in the workplace. There are some that agree with me & some that don't.
I,like most of you, can see that our society is being overly sensitive and PC in some situations but this is one area of law and policy that I stand behind.I don't really see it as people playing 'victim'.Work should be a place where you don't have to tolerate provocative attitudes, innuendo,or seemingly innocent comments. It decreases productivity, promotes gossip and drama, and puts loyal, innocent workers in situations they don't need to be in.Peoples lives have been ruined over less.Nothing changes if nothing changes. And if you think that harassment in the workplace is a non issue ,take some time out between negging & insulting me to enlighten yourselves.

Here's my opinion on the whole thing. I've worked in corporate America since I was 18. You learn a lot. One thing I've learned is some people have common sense and others lack it entirely. I personally dont think that comment was that bad. HOWEVER, I would never say that at work to a female. Unless I really know her and hung out with her. If everyone was out for drinks / dinner after work THEN I could totally get away with it. It's office politics people.

Because you are here whether you like it or not. We find you offensive and by tort law you are wrong, therefore we're reporting you to our HR.
Oh and I find what you said to other miscers offensive to me. Even though I'm third party and you are not addressing me you are offending me. I'm reporting you to HR for that too.
I know exactlly what your intent is even though I'm not in your head and I'm not even in the conversation, you scum you.
Stop sexually harassing us as men. You're hurting my poor little feelings.

You're not entitled to an opinion when you claim "dont shoot the messenger." The amount of fallacies you have in your logic is insane for someone who claims to be so logical. It is NOT up to legislation or government to prevent issues within a workplace, it is up to that workplace and its management. If you feel you are working for an establishment that doesnt care about your feelings, go work somewhere else. It really IS that simple.

women are always so clique-ish and searching for drama at work.
I guess when your life is modeled after reality television and and soaps, reality kind of just follows that.

Fair enough, but it is not reasonable to expect everyone to think as you do and down right offensive to expect behavior outside of what you personally consider to be proper from everyone else.
I,like most of you, can see that our society is being overly sensitive and PC in some situations but this is one area of law and policy that I stand behind.

Sexual harassment, just like anything else, is based on the giver of information and the receiver of information. The fact that our society continues to encourage people who just don't know how to deal with ****, is unnerving to say the least.
If Brad Pitt comes in to your office and tells you that you have a nice skirt, you'll probably **** him in the supply closet. However, if your balding, overweight coworker says it, well, forget that ****, report him and hope that he gets fired. It's the same double standard that happens in all of lifes situations, if you find the offender attractive, chances are, that you let it slide, or encourage it. If you don't well then "you shouldn't feel threatened at work.... blah blah blah". **** you, and everyone who looks like you.
I work in the restaurant industry, and I'm in management. For those outside the hospitality industry, you wouldn't understand. However, the close-quarters that restaurant workers are in, constantly squeezing by each other, working long hours, and late nights together, tons of **** goes on that doesn't work in an office environment. However, it's plain to see that when you add an HR department to a company, people get over-sensitive.
Suck it up people, if no one ever hit on you, we'd all be single.

Do you see the difference between your posts and "mydogs" posts...she doesn't necessarily agree with what most of us are saying either, but comes across in a much more sophisticated, "big-picture" sort of way, and you just continue to prove that you are about as useful as boobs on a nun when it comes to critical thinking or reasoning with each of your posts.
You say you don't post here, so do everyone a favour (and mostly yourself) and stop posting. Just stop.
...and for fukks sake, punctuation you dizzy broad.
