So wrote my long term goals out.
1. Be able to compete within 2 years.
2. Obtain education in nutritional science. Pretty much would like to get the PhD that Layne Norton has.
3. Stay truthful. (regarding drug use, if/when I get to competing level.)

I just installed the android operating system on my windows pc. This is taking a little getting used to since things are layed out differently. On another note I got my workout in today and things seemed to go well from backing off on my intensity and concentrating on the feel and complete working of muscle groups.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Haha I said I would drop a lot of weight this week, but it didn't happen.
Probably was my healthiest week of all, but I see no significant (-0,5lbs) loss on the scale.
I do feel it in my body and see it with my clothes.
Can anyone tell me why the scale barely moved? Or should i just be patient.
I myself think of 2 things that can cause this:
1. Had a late training session, no time to eat before that (had to pick up my son) so ate afterwards. Maybe water retention from the salt in the food.
2. I hit a plateau, maybe to hardcore calorie deficit? body in starvation mode or is that a myth?
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ever had a problem with the core tightening up while running? It felt like my abs were in a knot when I was running, it was pissing me off.
I usually do about 2 miles, speed setting 7 on the tred. Then I'd do some bike machine for another mile.
But I couldnt do the tread today because when I would start running my abs were killing me. Idk what it was, I'd say not enough water maybe but my water was spot on like it is everyday. Maybe I ate to much before I went. Idk. It was weird though and it was frustrating the hell out of me.
Would say potassium but that's been spot on to. I eat bananas and spinach on the reg.190lbs Comp lifts: 420/350/600 USAPL

After 3 weeks of barely losing a pound, I weighed in at 165.3 lbs this morning. 2.6 lbs down, finally!
I had to drop my cal intake from about 1600ish to 1200-1400ish max because I was sedentary..And honestly I failed to give attention to my macro...
Me losing 40 lbs has been the main topic at campus to everyone I know since Monday.
I'm not used to ppl talking about me, but I'm happy and I feel motivated.
Also, the girl I had a crush on noticed and gave me thumbs up LOL *feelsgoodman*
For the quit smoking attempt, I failed the cold turkey, but I managed to control my cravings and I don't smoke as much as I used to.
Have a great weekend, everyone!=======================

today i'll weigh-in in here but not in the spreadsheet. 131.5 lbs. i did cardio, drank a bunch of water and kept my legs elevated last night but it'll be a few days before i get rid of this bloating.
...
matthew2474. i ran track in high school and vaguely remember stomach cramps. these days i usually walk at a fast pace on the treadmill so that never happens to me now. some links that came up:

get that PhD!
lol'd at mess.
i wish my body behaved in predictable ways during shark week but it doesn't so i can't tell when to take a break from my daily weigh-ins. and when i step away from the scale for too long, bad things sometimes happen since i don't count cals. i have to track something.start where you are

fuuuuuuuudddddgggeeeee 265.4
Last Friday 266.6, now 265.4 -- looks good on paper after my massive mess up last weekend. But only I know that Saturday I was 265, so it felt like the first loss on a week.
It wasn't until I checked my spreadsheet that I saw I'm actually technically down a bit... that Feels Good Man. Even with the horrible weekend, nose back to the grind and made a little bit of progress. Tempted to skip free meals for next several weeks.
I was 400 and 500 cals last 2 days, like my body knew it still had macros from the weekend to use. Didn't even eat my fluff. First time that's happened. (Although I did have cream in my coffee, so probably another 100 cals there).Lost over 100 pounds so far. Hello everyone, I havent been responding in this thread much, been crazy busy with uni stuff and the energy just havent existed to update much. Down to 178 now and lifts are pretty much standing still, not increasing or decreasing. I don't know if you feel like this but the more fat I burn the more it seems to be left to burn. I'm getting leaner but also it seems the amount of fat is endless. Noticed that my fat is getting softer, even in my love handles that used to be pretty solid before. Stomach is like mush so I hope it will go away soon. Getting pretty sick of this cut and want to get back to maintenance calories. Waist is down to 32" as well compared to 36 when I started. It's just insane how much fat the body can store without it being very noticable.
Seems like most people have made some good progress, keep it up.Fat loss journal for 1st of aug to 1st of nov

183. Slight gain, could be water but time to get serious!
