Yes there is. You're comparing a 3 year old going through normal stages of growth, to a 21 year old going to a weight room exerting his muscles to failure, if not close, to get certain muscle fibers to fire that also trigger growth. I guarantee you that 3 year old isn't triggering the same muslce fibers we are in the weight room.

You can't compare the stages of naturally growing 3 year old boy to a 21 year old bodybuilder/weightlifter/powerlifter/whateveryouwanttocallit.

We'll just have to disagree on this one. But my main point was that your body mainly repairs itself while it's sleeping, whether you're a 20 year old lifting weights, or a 3 year old during a growth spurt. It's also one of the reasons why we lose weight while we're sleeping.

congrats on graduating, and great job losing weight during what must have been a stressful time!

some spreadsheet business: the info in calculated columns is pretty clean now and the "total lost" and percent lost columns will update without you having to do anything to them going forward. the formula i used for total lost is pretty clunky but it works, lol. i'm working on setting up separate tabs for each weigh-in so people will be able to see the top ten "losers" for each weigh-in... the weekly average gain/loss formula is very simple but you will have to be update it manually each week. not a big deal since you can do a drag and drop of the formula into everyone's rows, but i'll figure out how to automate that also... and the view/list/sort looks better now.

and now that i know which links to give you (they all refer back to the same spreadsheet), we can go ahead and get a moderator to add those links to the first post of this thread. i need to give you those links, however. i have to trim some data off both ends of the url to keep the url flexible. (the #gid=0 part of the url links to a specific page or tab in the spreadsheet. we might end up adding pages to the spreadsheet/might want a different page to appear first.)

in addition to that edit, i think we should make you the primary contact in those instructions.
Alright good stuff. Sorry I can't help more with the editing lol...

Weigh-in tomorrow guys and gals, let's see those messages pour in! Good luck all!

Beyond pissed. Drove 15 miles to go to an open mic and when my turn was coming there was no one left at the bar. Drove back without playing

Had some Chinese from a place with unknown calories. Got steamed fish, spice beef and generals chicken. I had 1100 Kcal left so I hope it wasn't more than that!

I had a weird swoosh all the way to 262 from 267.5, however I feel a bit dehydrated, so not going to celebrate it too much.

What I would do in situations in like this is I would try to find a dish as close as I could at a chain restaurant, something like PF Changs (http://www.pfchangs.com/images/nutri...nutrition.html) or Panda Express (www.pandaexpress.com/NutritionCalculator)

It's not going to be 100% accurate, but I would bet it's pretty darn close.

Its probably just water weight fluctuations or more carbs etc.

Checking in at 216.8 lbs. Down 2.2 this week, 17.2 over the past month. Grateful for this group...it's crazy what a little public accountability does for motivation!
    Goal = 185

    2014
    July 17 = 234.0 / July 24 = 228.5
    Aug 1 = 219.0 / Aug 8 = 219.0 / Aug 15 = 216.8 / Aug 22 = ? / Aug 29 = ?
    Sep 2 = ? / Sep 9 = ? / Sep 16 = ? / Sep 23 = ? / Sep 30 = ?

    Still dropping.

Hitting 210 by the end of the month is still a tall order but time to really push.

250.5 right now... but it's more complicated than that. My weight is fluctuating too much. I've made a thread on it
