Which Whey Protein Isolate should I consider that is low cost and good value for the money?

It has to be an isolate.

Isolate and inexpensive are two words that don't go together.

The cheapest option will be a bulk supplier (I.e. A company that will sell you 5kg of whey isolate)

Any reason why it HAS to be isolate?

Do you happen to live near a Sprouts Grocery Store? Or Whole Foods? Sometimes they have unflavored whey isolate in bulk that is around $12-14 per pound. Otherwise, I've always liked ISO-100 but like others have said, iso and cheap don't often go hand in hand.

Came in to suggest Dymatize ISO-100 too, other than something in bulk or on sale you wont find too much better deal on an iso.

IsoFlex's chocolate mint is the best chocolate mint I've ever had, but that stuff is nowhere close to being cheap.

ISO-100 and IsoFusion are the two isolates I keep finding myself suggesting.

For me being in Canada the prices are fairly close.

5lb tubs are 94.99 (plus taxes) for iso 100 // 6lb tubs are $109 (plus taxes) for isoflex but i can grab those for $95 tax included on sales.

That is the only reason i tend to pick isoflex due to servings and the 90% vs 80%.

I want to try some goodies from VPX next.

I would say Dymatize ISO-100 is your best bet.

Inner armour blue line 100%isolate is a solid option.. Along with great taste... Others I like are Isoflex, isofusion, and new platinum isolate zero by muscle tech

SRO is 10$ more, but you also get ~200g more of protein (taste is subjective so I won't comment)

Power whey - Rocky Road & Chocolate were both great.

I remember trying your isolate years back and didn't have any complaints.


I am not a huge PB fan but I might take advantage of the upcoming sale and try a tub.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. After reviewing every brand mentioned here, it seems I have already been buying the least expensive one.

I'm new to using protein powder and it's the most expensive supplement I take. I'm not sure I'm even using it correctly.

Probably because they want simpler products, without unnecessary fillers, care about more than just "taste" and are not affiliated so don't feel obligated to push their employer's products.
