I do not have a lot of money to spend on supps and vitamins and such, so I thought that I would just ask all the experts here on this forum before making another purchase.
Which 5 categories do you think are the most important building blocks for a solid foundation for growing lean muscle?
Right now, I am taking:
Multivitamin - NOW ADAM
Fish Oil - Generic drugstore brand
Protein - ON 100% Whey
Preworkout NO - Universal Shock Therapy
Creatine - Universal Storm
If you could let me know what categories you think are most important, and also list either the product you are taking, or some good products you know of for that category I would appreciate it greatly! Thank you all for your help!

If money is tight you can take out the NO. As people know I am pretty vocaly critical of it and think it is a waste of a supplement, but whatever floats peoples boats. I would recommend dropping the NO and using the surplus money on a creatine cocktail like Clout by MAN. Great stuff.

Awesome! Thank you to all who added their input to this thread!
Another question:
Which creatine cocktail/blend do you think is the most effective for the money? (not including mono)
Thanks again for the assistance, it is definitely helping me shape my supplementation plans!Atch

I think clout has the best ingredient profile, however it is quite a bit more expensive than Green MAG. I stick with Mag the majority of the year and throw in clout every once in a while when I have more cash. As far as value concerning price combined with quality nothing beats MAG.

Clout does look pretty sweet! Apparently most people seem to think that that's the way to go for the best creatine product.
And yeah, I would really like to grab some Wraath, cuz everything that I see and read about it looks like it is the best product to get a ton of BCAAs and EAAs from. Hopefully I can start making some more money soon and try it out!
What do you guys think about Storm? That is the least expensive creatine blend that I have found that also has positive reviews to back it up.Atch

02-27-2007, 08:51 PM #22Nice list, though I would probably go with NOW EcoGreen for the multi and bulk BA.
1) Where can I find bulk Beta-Alanine? I didn't see any when I did a quick search on the bodybuilding.com database.
2) Which is more important? BCAA/EAAs such as Wraath or Xtend; or a Beta-Alanine supp like IntraXCell?Last edited by Atchy12; 02-27-2007 at 08:58 PM.

No problem. Just remember, start off with the basics and then you can add something else in if you wish. My starter stack recommendation is:
Note "/" means or
Protein: ON/Dymatize
Creatine: Green Mag/Storm/Mono
Multi: GNC Sport/Now Ecogreen/Optimens
Fish Oil: Now Omega 3/Bulk Fish Oils
That's my simplified, more narrowed down list. Oh! I forgot to mention digestive enzymes in my first post. Now Super Enzymes are a great product! But anyways...
I would save your money on the staple supps, because most of them are all the same, and the results won't be so much different. Remember, results do not correlate with price most of the time. Diet/Training/Rest + Staples is all you need, and spending $100 on X protein or creatine product might yield the exact same results as spending $15 on y protein or creatine product. Plus, if you save money on the staples, you can then afford to spend money on the advanced supps.

Where in the world did you get the notion that a quality creatine and/or cell volumizer must include caffeine? If we were talking about a fat-burner, I'd probably agree. Furthermore, B-Alanine is not the only active in Clout, and the dosage is quite sufficient considering it is based on the actual studies regarding B-Alanine. You are getting a host of serious ergogenic actives (e.g. the orotate salts, IP6, ALCAR, etc.) that a stand-alone B-Alanine product wouldn't even begin to touch. And just FYI, Clout does have one of the absolute best profiles out there and pretty much nothing on the market at present touches it... your post was completely incorrect on so many levels. Please do a little (read: a lot) more research.SAN Nutrition
