i wear large in shirts from uniqlo, fit me perfect, a little long though.

We're similar height. Are we talking mini-dress long here? Also, how do you find the sleeve length on a L?

sleves hit just past my wrist, but i roll them up so its not too bad, length wise they hit the bottom of my zipper on pants.

Any advice on sizing? I feel that M would be too small for chest and shoulder but L would be too long.

I have an M uniqlo shirt and I'm 6'2. It fits well but it is too long to wear un-tucked without feeling chit about it

Presume shirt is a twill style shirt, but in the pic it looks like a navy, clashing? It looks aesthetic to me though, or maybe its just the whole model shot, exotic background thing going on.

Navy Button Down (not oxford cloth)
Black Blazer

Looks like this are all about FIT. I wouldn't worry so much about the brand or the material, just get colours that work and let the fit do the heavy lifting for you.

As for shoes you are probably best of with some quality black brouges, as you don;t want to go super smart (cap toes etc.). I know people say don't mix brown and black, but I think dark brown would work here. Make sure to match your belt.
