Made a little "guide" for shirts here for anyone interested. Does anyone know why it won't let me edit the OP? Can you only edit so many times? Seems like it has happened to all my posts though. What the fuk.

They sell clarks at Hype DC and Platypus now for $150 IIRC
UO sell them for $120USD (Shipping is free) and as the aussie dollar is going strong you best get them off UO.
In fact HYPE and Platypus both sell boots now Wolverines and Red Wings so head in and check it out.
still check out UO btw for boots

I actually like that jacket a lot. Sort of like a blazer. Link?
Also I came home from college and my mom shrunk my Naked and Famous Weird Guys...
Replaced them with some J Brand jeans in a similar color. They're not raw denim but they are so cot damn comfortable. The N&F ones were nice but I like the feel of the J Brands.Breathing in, I calm my body.
Breathing out, I smile.

Hey guys, I've been lurking this thread for awhile, but I'm kind of at a loss. I start law school next week and I desperately need to update my wardrobe. I think I have ok style, not on the level as most of you guys, but my wardrobe is stale I need an updated look for the next stage of my life.
I feel kind of overwhelmed because I need to get so much new ****. I only have a couple dress shirts, two pairs of acceptable shoes and one pair of dress pants that no longer fit that well because I've lost some weight since the winter.
I need professional clothes that I can wear to events, meet and greets with law firms, stuff like that. As well, I just want a more mature look. I turned 24 this year and I feel like I dress like someone who is 19-21.
I'm willing to spend anywhere from $1000-2000. I'd like to get a new suit, 3-4 pairs of pants, a couple blazers, a pair of boots, a pair of more casual shoes (but still professional). Is there a guide or something that can kind of point me in the right direction?
What are some staples of a wardrobe that I absolutely have to get?*Strong Everything 2018 Champion*

in order of priority IMO
suit: everyone is different. some people can look great with suits off-the-rack (maybe minimal tailoring). others require massive tailoring. my advice: try the cheaper (1st) route first and see what works. You'll need to devote some time and energy for this. You can find great deals at Nordstrom Rack or even Macy's if you're on a budget.
Dress shirts: never get traditional fit. Look for the tapered, athletic fits or even slim fit. Lookup the "military tuck" to make sure any excess fabric doesn't balloon out the back. I do recommend 2-3x white Brooks Brothers Slim Fit dress shirts for those very important occasions. The number of compliments I've gotten wearing them with a good tie has been endless. The quality is suspect so wear them sparingly. Anyways, you're going to have to shop around at different locations to find the "right fitting" dress shirt. This will take some time as well
Ties: i recommend a few strong solid color power ties. The rest are up to you and dependent on the color of your suit, pants, dress shirts, etc. Have some fun with this
pants: its all about the tapered fit, if your quads can fit them. Some people like slim fit but im not a fan of clothes squeezing my body. Make sure to cognizant of the length and that it reaches a half-break (at most). Obviously wear a pair of relevant shoes when you go to try pants out.
Boots: I'm assuming you'll pair these with jeans. If you've got the space in the budget, Wolverine 1000 Miles and Red Wings are great mid-range options.
Casual Shoes: this depends entirely on where you live and what your "casual" style is like. Vans, sneakers, less-dressy oxfords, boots, boat shoes...you really can go anywhere with this.
bottom line: try to develop your own style, be creative, and have fun with it. There's no point in trying to look like a clone of someone else. Well, at least outside of business attire.
