Im trying to figure out which direction to go with my workout programming.
History: Lifted on/off for about six months with Stronglifts, took a long hiatus, and now I've been working out seriously for about two months. I recently started Jason Blaha's Ice Cream Fitness 5x5 and I'm seeing linear gains because I started the program at 75% of my max.
Stats: My current known "maxes" are 205x5 squat, 185x5 bench, and 225x5 deadlift. I'm 20 yrs old, 5 ft 9 inches, and about 160 lbs.
My big three proportions are pretty off from the numbers I've been seeing from others and it seems like I've plateaued a lot earlier than others on my squat and deadlifts. I'm wondering if a full body workout like ICF 5x5 is a good way to go or if I should try Candito's linear or even his six week program. Feel free to suggest any other programs which you think would be optimal.
Thanks!
