I went on a ride along with them again this week. 2 arrests and so many homeless camps in the parks... found out my rank 1 (95/100 score) application got looked over the first time, but i already reapplied.. this time is different though, because one the hiring sergeants is related to one of my old coworkers, so he got me in contact with her.
Fingers are crossed for the future.

I drove an armored truck for 3 months, and that's about all I could take. We did ATM servicing. The smell of the money alone will make you continually sick. Out before the sun comes up, and not back before it sets. 3 or 400 mile days.
It's not so bad to be the driver, but if you are the jumper, you sit in the back seat, and get all kinds of bounced around. Plus, you are hands on with the money. And you signed for it, so if it goes, it's on you. I hated it so bad.
If you want to do something related to Law Enforcement, try maybe pushing a car in an HOA. I did that for about a year. Got to write some traffic tickets and play with a radar gun. Not too bad.
Now, I spend most of my time locked inside a car lot overnight. Just me and five floors of luxury vehicles. It has a coffee pot, and a microwave. I mostly just cruise around on the golf cart and write reports and stuff. 18 months at that gig so far. Tue-Fri 10 hr shifts overnight. Weekends off. Just had my 56th birthday. Not going to go LEO.*Security Officer Crew*

My interview is on Wednesday, but i don't think i'm really "in" with the dept. I did 2 ride-alongs with them and took a book of notes on their dept while i was doing the ride-alongs.
I remember i went into an interview thinking i was "in" with one dept. Worst interview I ever did in my life. Never again.
I'm going to my best to not screw this upAlways rep fellow military brahs.

Well boyos, just got DQ'd from PAPD from their medical services. Seems over 70% get Dq'd for no known reasons. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Stay safe.

Psych tests are bull****. They should be able to filter out people that are genuinely 'crazy' but for the most part it should have really low 'failure' rates. It sounds like the Port Authority are most likely are using a super liberal/anti police source to administer the psych test and are trying to fill their agency with a certain type of person.
A police officer will not have the same answers on a lot of those questions as a normal person. Furthermore a veteran officer taking one of those tests had likely better go with the answer they think they want to hear as opposed to saying what you really think.

The Dinkheller video introduced me to law enforcement.
Once is enough.....never again.
That ****ing thing will never leave my mind. I'm guessing that's pretty much what war sounds like except you don't see Kyle being shot on tape. You just hear it.
Considered it at one point but backed out because it's just not worth it. RIP Kyle. I'll never forget you and if there is a heaven I hope you're up there.
If your a cop who actually cares about keeping people safe and not just collecting revenue then you have my blessings.Last edited by MINDDomakr; 10-30-2017 at 05:03 PM.

Yeah the background was insane. Listed all social medias, work history and phone #s, disciplinary letters from HS and colleges, social security work history, history of tickets and violations, arrests, references, etc. Passed all of that and then get told by someone who's not even in law enforcement that I'm not capable of being a cop. PAPD is notorious for having a chitty psych process

Had my interview today with the hiring sgt and commander.
The commander looked me in the eyes and handed me the form to get my backgrounds started, so i guess it went well.
I got it notarized 10 mins after the interview and brought it back. My fingers are crossed!

Attempted to join the drug unit. So far I’ve given 8 years of my life to this outfit. Lost out to a guy with 3 years in. He’s more proactive than me apparently and it seems like I am not totally happy and committed to my job so they picked him.
Of course I am not happy and committed with my job. That’s why I am trying to move to a different section u morons.
No way a 3 year member should beat out an 8 year member unless the 8 year is extremely incompetent.
Really makes me wonder why I even gaf at work.
