Hey Quick Advice Question
Hey guys,
I just wanted to get on here real quick and ask some opinions. Going on a crazy wrestling schedule, its hard to keep set times to hit the gym and the amount of time I get to stay at the gym once I get there. I have to try and get and stay in tip top shape, which can be hard some weeks that I have more shows than normal. Right now I am looking to add a little more size on my arms and chest, but at the same time I need to lose a little more around my waist. If you have time, please respond with some ideas for supplements and diets. Right now I get an average of 3-4 days in the gym, and try to hit around 30 minutes of cardio, 3 times a week. Thanks. Feel free to shoot a message anytime this way.

sigmon what supps have u tried? i would recomend controlled labs glycerglow(cell volumizer) and green mag(creatine). Im about to take glycerglow with prolab mono creatine just cuz i wana gain a little weightt and i dont care if im a tab bloated. Ive heard great things on cellmas, nitrix, and no xplode by bsn also. Also if u have the cash and a store nearby i would just pick up an ABB sport drink like there carb or protein one i think they might have a nitrix oxide one too.

Only one of those I've tried has been NO-Xplode and it gets my recommendation.
ABB drinks used to be ALOT more potent when they were allowed to add in ephedra. Back in the day, I thrived on those.

I mean no disrepect, but if you're a wrestler...why not ask the other wrestlers? I mean nobody knows the situation better than a first hand wrestler, you know? They can tell you what has actually worked instead of wrestling fans who happen to be into bodybuilding just suggesting what they think might work, you know?
Honestly, the best thing to do if you want to be a wrestler is spend a few years building up your body and getting into tip top shape. Once you begin training, the constantly abuse your body takes means you can't really go heavy in the gym. I mean after all, your muscles are already sore and bruised, adding weight lifting to that will only overtrain and fatigue you. You'll break down before you know it.
In other words, pack on ALL the muscle mass you can and then start wrestling training. Training to wrestle at the same time you're trying to pack on the pounds is futile. One of them will have to temporarily go - either the size or the wrestling. And since we all know your chances of getting booked in the WWE or even TNA are higher if you have the muscles, if I were you, I'd stop training to be a wrestler for a year or two - focus seriously on putting on the size and then resume wrestling training with light gym routines to maintain.

true, however he seems to be already in the ring, plus adding weight and working on increasing his strength and endurance would assist in reducing his fatigue. I am sure that there are several workouts designed for the endurance type of athlete to help with this type of growth that he is looking for.

The best thing, in my opinion, would be for you to build yourself up, get as cut as you want and then start training. Once you start wrestling, you'll have a day or two in the gym must to maintain the muscle you already have.

sound advice, I dont see why he cant contiune on his path in the ring while he is doing this...its just working on time management.

I disagree. Whathe needs to do is ensure that his diet and workout are in order before adding supps...but he can treat this as if he was in football or any other sport. He needs to find the balance with how his body reacts to his workouts. Their is no reason why he cant do both. It may take "longer" then just hitting the gym and stuff, but the problem with him doing that is, if he packs on a crap load of weight and not wrestling, when he gets back into the ring, his body wont be use to the wrestling. Now if he continues to wrestle and add on weight "slowly" as he does, his body will grow use to the weight and adapt to the workouts. IMO.

Keep your workouts simple, just do the compound movements. Heavy benchpress, squat, deadlift, military press, barbell curls. Do a full body workout twice a week for the time being. Cardio can be done at the venue, sprint around the block a few times etc.
Remember, a good tan hides a magnitude of sins

No disrespect taken, but I am not training to be a wrestler. I am a wrestler and have been for three years. I have already been trained by the best, Dr. Tom Prichard and Chris Michaels. I do ask other wrestlers every day what all they think that I should do. I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys on here just for kicks. Doing four shows a week takes its toll on the body, but we still gotta hit the gym hard. As for supps that I am on, I am taking No-Xplode, Leukic, Nitro Tech, and was on Novadex XT for awhile. I hope that all is well everyone. Take care.
