Last couple sessions have been a mess. In summation:
Deadlifted 585 20 times
RDL'ed a new PR with 680x6
Benched 400x3 and almost killed myself on 4
Squatted 500x3 for a post sports hernia PR.

Sunday-10/19/14- 8 Weeks out
DL- 660x5x2, 700x1<~~~ these were all done on a really thick bar with no flex in it. Sucked. My grip has been going a little lately. Hopefully this will fix it.
Monday-10/20/14
Bench- Paused- 380x1, 405x1, 420x1, 380x3x2
Close Grip- 365x4, 375x4, 225x30
PR on the close grip and the 420 is still floating around in the mesosphere somewhere. Biked for 10 minutes.
Plan on absolutely killing myself with RDLs and heavy sled work tomorrow.

Yea. I am still playing it kinda conservative. I don't want to spill all my candy in the lobby. I've got a bunch of sessions left and I would love to hit 450 with a pause by the end of it. 420 is still something like 97-99% of my "training max" right now. Also, it's 101% of that I did at my meet last month.

Saturday-11/15/14-
A couple of strongmen competitors came over to train this morning at my garage gym (a.k.a. The Puzzle Box) and many weights were smashed. I really enjoy being the weakest person in the gym.
Deadlifts-645x1, 700x3<~~~ used a really thick bar and no straps. I probably had 2 or 3 more reps but just stopped because three reps ties my all time PR with straps on a power bar. Nuts.
RDLs- 650x10<~~~ died.
Captains of Crush Grippers- #1x10 closes each hand, #2x5, #2.5x3, #3x1, #2x5 with slow eccentrics, #1x10 with slow eccentrics

Pulled something in my back on Thursday. I could barely walk all weekend. Really $hitty timing with the training going so well and the American Open coming up but, hopefully, I will still be able to hit all my goals... which include:
1700+ total (sports hernia finally feeling better)
1200+ push pull
Don't get hurt
Stupid little injuries drive me nuts. Between whatever this is in my back and the shoulder tendonitis I am dealing with as well, it is pretty easy to get discouraged. Ended up 1760 at 246 with 600.8, 402.something, and a 755 pull. Due to the sheer volume of bull$hit ive had to dead with, I was pretty happy about that. I have a more in depth writing up coming shortly and will post it once its been published.

Yea, its definitely been the worst year of lifting I've ever had. Just piling on injuries and stupid minor set backs. $hit sucks. Oh well. Life works in waves. This year should be a violent tide of iron.

No pain. Just zero power/coordination on the squats. Its amazing that after and injury like this, how basically just deadlifting has preserved some strength but the ability of my legs to forcibly contract under a heavy weight like that is just gone. I've got a **** load of work to do until raw nationals in October.
