Hey, it's been a couple months since my last progress photos so I figured I'd pop back in with an update.


My weight gain stalled out for awhile because I think that even though my intake was greatly increased, I was only eating at maintenance for 118-120 lbs. To combat this I've really been trying not to count calories and have been judging my fitness based on the scale and my performance. I know this isn't ideal, but my goal is mental stability and a sense of normalcy around food first and lifting second. My body weight has gone from 117-120 to around 122-124, not a huge difference, but I feel like my strength has increased. I've really cooled down on the cardio (maybe 30 mins a week now). Don't know what my bf % is because I feel like if I used calipers I might relapse but i think it's floating around 12-15. My goal weight was 135-145, but now I'm thinking I could maybe go up to 150 and still be pretty lean. Here's what my lifts look like now:

Bench: From 65 - 125 lbs.
Squat: From 95 - 155 lbs.
Deadlift: From 125 - 185 lbs.

I can't answer that, it is all up to how you approach your bulk. If you take it slow and do a lean bulk then sure. Just set your goals, one short and one longterm, figure out how best to accomplish them and then get after them.

Good job on the transformation! At your height, 160 (ish) lbs. would be a good weight. Most of the guys I've seen on here are pretty lean at that height/weight.

thanks! ill keep reevaluating at every 5 lbs but if i keep going at the rate i have been, i think fat gains will be minimal.
