I put my mouse where his hands were at unrack and then where he locked out. Honestly he was higher locked out, so I'm pretty impressed with that. Good lift. It's always hard to tell geared but his wasn't even questionable in my mind.

That only works if they aren't using a hand held camera, I put my mouse on the jhooks when he unracked and they were way higher than my mouse when he racked. I like Dizenzo and I love equipped benching but I don't think that at any time, from unracking to finishing, that his arms were fully locked out.
It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

That's his lockout and has been for years. I've seen almost every lift he has done for the last 8 years. That was 100% locked out. (Look at any other bench video of his. The lockout is the same).
Gene is strict but fair. Carl Seeker and CJ Murphy were on the sides. You really can't get a much higher level of judging.I'm not DrewDarden

What are people looking at here? Look at his right arm at start, at finish, and at rack. The only time he's locked is when they take it back to the hooks. One of the worst benches I've ever seen.
Strict judging my ass.1708 total @220 Raw

I agree he was gifted 2 squats there, but you can't judge this Feds judging as a whole lol, based on two lifts from one lifter. You can look at lots of RPS or IPA or SPF or whatever vids and watch crap over and over again.
It's very uncommon to see squats like that passed in the uspa multiply or not. Also, that video is several years old and I doubt you'd hear Steve say good things about the judging of those two squats. I've personally seen him come from the behind the scoring table to the platform and tell the judges they made a bad call.1708 total @220 Raw

That video I posted was just the first result when I typed "multi-ply USPA" into youtube.
This is at another USPA meet
This is the multi ply division at 2013 IPL Worlds, which is the international USPA affiliate

Dude are you trolling?? In the first vid I was in the chair doing my practical to be certified as a state level judge with a national and world level judge and many squats were denied not just passed two to one but with 3 reds. Also, that 2nd vid of IPL does not help your case at all. Maybe one of those was possibly borderline. You do realize the book says hip crease at top of thigh below knee cap and not atg right??
I think maybe you were trying to agree with me??? LOl I hope based on those vids.1708 total @220 Raw

Those pics do nothing but prove my point. They're squats that fall within the rules given. I do not understand why you guys think squats have to be 3 inches deeper than what the rulebook says. You don't get extra points or weight added to your total for squatting 3 inches deeper than you're supposed to. Judging that's done just to prove a point at the expense of a lifter who's put in years of hard work to qualify for a meet is stupid if you ask me. I'm in no way shape or form saying lifters dont follow the rules or be expected to follow them, but your interpretation or perspective of what a passable squat is is off in the same way someone from the SPF or IPA's perspective is off. The rules in pl are as black and white as it gets. Squats in the Usapl or Ipf are judged the same as telling a sprinter he's running a 100 meter dash but you're recording his time over 105 meters. Why??
