I want to get really strong and powerful, what do I need to do?

Hey folks. So I'm looking to start a new journey tomorrow. I've recently been passionate about wanting to be strong. Just straight up strong.

I don't care about aesthetics, any strong person will look that way obviously. I just want to learn how to build power and strength. I've tried looking up routines and stuff and all I could find was "GET RIPPED IN 8 WEEKS" kind of **** and that's just the kind of muscle that looks good. I don't care about that. I want some solid muscle.

So, with all of that being said. How do I do it? What do I do to just get straight up power?

Go check out some of the work out logs, or google basic powerlifter routine , very simple and straight forward.

    **** yeah, power!

You looked into Starting Strength? It's a 3x/week FB beginner strength routine, very heavily focused on strength acquisition, it'll get you big if you eat right, but it'll get you strong as hell in the meantime. It'll provide a solid entry into heavy lifting and strength development, from which you can then focus more specifically on exactly what you want. I ran it for just under a year, passed 3/2/4 plate S/B/D in about half that time, and moving my way up into and over 4/3/5 plate now, having only left it weeks ago.

If you're looking to get strong at 1 of the fastest rates possible in the big lifts, with some noticeable size gains along the way, SS is my recommendation.

Follow a well known proven solid beginners program like Starting Strength, eat at a caloric excess(carbs and protein being your main source of macros), be consistent with lifting(not missing a day and getting the form down), and resting enough(7-8 hours of sleep), and you'll gain strength quickly.
