Unless you are carb cycling, your diet should not vary at all.

I eat the same everyday, trying to eat back calories burned on lifting days will lead to failure. Just figure out how many calories you need to lose weight and stay with that daily until it stops working, then readjust.

If you are achieving your cutting goals then keep it the same. If you are not meeting your goals try reducing on your off days.

I keep mine the same with one day a week at maintanence.

Been losing 1 lb a week for 16 weeks, ~11% now trying to get down to 10%.
The best part of this is, my kids are learning to live healthier because of me.

I shoot for a weekly average. For example this week I want to average 2575 per day. That comes from my 60 day average +100 because I've gained .5 lb in 60 days and I'll accept gaining a little faster. To hit my target average I'll do 2825 Sat and Sun when I tend to indulge anyway. Then 2475 Mon-Fri when I tend to be more disciplined. Might sound complicated, but it works for me.

When I was labouring and having 5k cals, I was pretty sick of food prep and eating so on my day off I ate as little as I felt like.

Now in an office and erryday looks about the same.
