I do about 3 sprays of TL and 1 spray of TV. TV definitely overpowers TL easily.

Romance Silver has better reviews generally speaking, and is smoother. I actually prefer Romance Silver nowadays, used to feel the opposite. Nostalgia probably plays the biggest role in me liking it.

Like I said, I find it similar to Tommy. Maybe like a mix of Tommy and VS Very Sexy, but a bit sharper and greener, if you're familiar with those two.

I remember when I first learned of niche colognes. I went to the Bay and asked the Guerlain associate for SDV and she was like wot? I didn't want to butcher the proper name but turns out they only carry the cheaper bottles anyway.

Still a noob with splits, could I remove the atomizer plug on an empty cologne and refill the bottle from a decant/flacon? Or does it not come off for niche bottles?

Someone here mentioned that the newer 2013-14 batches are very similar to the vintage batches. I have a 2014 batch and it smells great (I've never smelled the vintage though).

Strong this. I think i said something about this in one of the old CC threads re Marc's pronunciation/enunciation and he got a bit defensive about it on here. He speaks french (canadian IIRC) so i'll take his word for it that he is pronouncing it correctly.

I believe the reformulation was somewhere in mid 2011 to mid 2013. Most people disliked that batch though since the scent was "weaker". This then made the vintage bottle more sought after. But with another reformulation some where in mid 2013, this brought this scent close to where it was before the 2011 reformulation.

yup this is what Ive heard too...but the fact that it was only made for 2 years probably means theres not a lot in circulation, and usually even average scents skyrocket once it becomes discontinued

This reminds me of the D&G Pour Homme reformulation. Originally it was made in Italy then reformulated in Germany. Then reformulated again in the UK. As of right now the vintage Italy bottles are sought after.

Its just I see some bottles shooting up in price for no reason other than its hard to find....Romance silver for 100$ for 50ml is a joke (average ebay price now), your Escada is also pretty pricey (though I understand paying for it as I consider myself a collector), ***** Envy also....

These are just not worth the price theyre going for nowadays....Wish I could judge better which frags will go up in price and start investing instead of collecting

There's something about Prada Amber that I don't like. I bought a bottle a few years ago and just have it in a box somewhere because I never wear it. It has a good soapy scent but something about it on my skin turns my stomach just a little.

I haven't tried infusion in a long time but considering my feelings for Amber, I know I would personally pick Infusion as my favorite.
