Guy on the left.
Bushido battle stance, wide array of weapons to choose from, better fashion sense, hair is neatly trimmed away from eyes, sturdy nose able to take damage, and a strong pivot in the ankle.

As a side note, does anyone have any experience with M.2 or PCI solid state drives? Received a raise and I need more power. Debating on whether or not to get two more SATA SSD to compliment my current one, or to rock the other slots of my motherboard.

Given the choice of only the 2, knowing the opponent gets the other one- I'd prob grab the spear, break it in half, and use it like kali sticks with a sharp one.

Spear everytime over axe if both people know what they're doing. There's a reason spears were used in wars to great effect for centuries.
But if we're talking video games.. yeah sure axe. Fire emblem seems old now though. Haven't played that in a while.R.I.P. Mainsqueeze530

Against a slow, large, opponent a spear would be ideal because he would be an easy target and not fast enough to get close.
I'm no military historian, but I'm pretty sure spears were used primarily while in formation. Once the formation broke though, they used swords. It could be though that this is due to not having enough space in a battle to use a spear effectively rather than an inherent advantage of the sword over the spear. Also, spears were used with shields, but just a spear with no shield would leave you quite vulnerable I would think.

I can't get into the reddit layout. I've only made 1 post on there ever I think.

Think of it this way.
You post something in the R/P, and you get 22 reps for it.
Then someone in the Misc makes their own post and links to yours, saying what a piece of **** you are for saying that.
Then all of a sudden you have 41 negs.
You stalking me on reddit, brah?

If you like /r/history check out /r/askhistorians.
Also /r/askscience.
I don't think the layout is that tough, but a lot of people seem to have an issue with it.
A comment on a thread is all the way to the left of the page.
A reply to that comment starts one space to the right.
A reply to that second comment is a second space to the right.

Depends on the spear. A pike is useless once your enemy gets close and usually they'd have daggers, swords or other weapons to do close combat. A smaller spear like what we're talking about can be used to good effect vs a single enemy (even if they have an axe). But yeah spears were typically used with shields or were 10-16 feet long to make a pike.
But yeah formations and spears work very well together. I'd hate to have to fight a swiss pikeman square irl with an axe, spear or sword.
I would prefer a spear due to reach over an axe. But I've never used either in close combat, at least irl. I don't think video games count as xp here amirite?
I'm sure it depends on the type of fighting style (GoT aside) for axe or spear to win. We'd have to go with a specific fighting style and weapon style (which would be easy since one begets the other) to figure out which one might prefer.
In for an episode of deadliest warrior.R.I.P. Mainsqueeze530

Muslim denial is nearing an all-time peak on the forum at the moment. I'd call it unbelievable if it weren't not only believable but actually expected.

Anyone have recommendations for blu ray players?
I'm supposed to get someone a gift and was told to get a blu ray player, but I don't follow the technology at all. I think all they want to do is watch TV shows and they might have Netflix."God help us; we're in the hands of engineers." - JP Quote
