Strength to push the defenders of the ball

There are some players that appear to have muscles made of stone, they can block defenders without letting the defenders to unbalance them (they can protect the ball from defenders without letting the defenders push them away)

Is there any specific training to get this kind of muscular strength and balance?

If you put a hammer on the head on a nail and push, it will not go nearly anywhere. But if you were to swing the hammer and hit the nail, it would go into the board. Work on explosiveness and speed more than strength but still have a good foundation of strength (your back, legs, glutes, chest, shoulders, etc)

This is an interesting post. If it is your way to say that olympic lifting will help more than squating and dead lifting, I'd say you aren't all wrong. Do that stuff, consider Crossfit and eat, then you will be fine.

Not really only Olympic lifting, but a good amount of it. Also some explosive movements I.e. Just throwing stuff and jumping
