7 weeks until the final national qualifier of the season....and I think I'm going to go ahead and take a shot at it!
If nothing else, ready to get my first stage experience under my belt and I feel like it'll really benefit me in my preperation for next season as far as what to expect and how I can develop my physique & stage presence to be truly competitive.
Prep starts today.
Wish me luck everyone.USMC (2009-2013)

Is there anything particular to look for in a belt for weighted pull ups, or would any random belt from my local sports store do fine?

Friggin Inzer. 4 weeks and I still don't have my belt. Hurry the fk up.
You'd think if a company were facing sustained increased demand that it would be a good idea to increase production capacity.
It would be a little better if they at least gave tracking information or something so I would know if I should suspect that it's been lost. But they don't even do that.My log:

I've been instructed to do a deload week. So I'm just curious what you guys think I should do.
Here are my lifts:
5x5 Squat 190
5x5 Bench 165
1x5 Deadlift 330
I could:
> Do lower rep ranges at closer to max, say 70%.
> I could do same rep ranges at 50% of max. But honestly, that's some REALLY light benching and squatting...
Suggestions? ICF 5x5 has no set rules for deload weeks.

in4vids of 100lbs weighted pullups
@Daa, I've always used deload weeks as time away from the gym completely; others will obviously have opposing views, and probably with good reason, but I personally don't see a benefit from intentionally having half-assed workouts. I like to take 3-4 days off, let my body completely rest (I'll still walk and do very low intensity things like that), and then get back to it afterwards.
edit: my gym is actually closed for the next 3 days so I'll be taking a half-week deload. Comes at a good time as well, I've been pushing myself hard with squats and deads recently and can use a few days off

Thank you for your input everyone. I'm gonna go with 50% and 5x3 since the general consensus seems to be as little as possible.
