I tend to think of it as something one is raised with/accustomed to - based on my foodie travels.

In many regions this is the norm but when looking at US commercial milk, and meat even it's bland for profit since they raise it for speed not quality.

Obviously goat/sheeps milk wouldn't be good with everything, its gamey compared to commercial milk but even proper cows milk has much dif taste then commercial which most would call gamey.

I have used sheep and goat milk strained yogurt with protein to eat, and in protein smoothies similar to a lassi that was very good.

    It is well worth trying

Think milk kills the flavor of protein powders especially the good flavored ones. Only time I use milk is when I bust out the blender and ice cubes and then still use half milk and half water.

But I like drinking milk straight up

It really does. In many cases it masks it and makes it so creamy that it just isn't pleasant

Total opposite. Water kills the flavor as it waters them down. Milk brings the flavor out (in most cases). You just have a bass akwards palate from eating only asian food for the past decade

Though there are a couple animals that eat rotting (fermented) fruit and get drunk from it. And I don't know you so I am in no way saying this about you, but almost every person that tells me we are the only ones to drink milk smoke a lot of pot. I don't see many other animals doing that either.

Your muscles are going to starve...j/k. For the profile and quality ingredients I would say its worth it and I'm not making boat loads of money. Rather spend a little more for quality.
