Re: Cost of living in Austin isn't that bad. The housing market is considered high because we're in a boom because a lot of tech people are moving from California, but that happens about every 5 years.

Still, housing prices in Austin are nothing compared to what I've seen in PA, NJ, or the north in general.
I'm not sure who's to blame specifically, but I blame the over unionized labor of the north.

Polos are 3 for $36 over at Spier & Mackay.

Sizes were just restocked, no idea on the exact fit but it's a hell of a deal if someone is looking for some budget polos in basic colors. I suspect them to be quite nice for the pricepoint. Had they restocked before I placed my latest order I may have given them a try. Drop from chest to waist is only 1" so the pinned website photos might be a little misleading.

Here is what they say about the fit

The polos were designed to coincide with our slim fit shirts, so they are quite fitted. They are a traditional polo in that they are made with a pique knit and have a ribbed collar and sleeve cuffs. We are really happy with the fabric. They are airy and light and soft for summer with a great natural stretch.

The ribbing on the sleeve is fitted as well, but as it is a rib, it will ease with wear as well.

Interview with the legal staffing woman went very well I think. Should have a follow up next week with one of the attorneys whose name is on the firm.

Of course my sister recently broke the full length mirror I had, so this was the longest one available for me to snap a picture with. The suit is a dark gray, by Michael Kors, and the tie is mostly light blue. I love how it fit, but then again I don't know chit about suits. I think the tailor did a pretty good job.



Hopefully I get hired so I can start buying suits on my own and have more of a say in what colors and brands I get.

I'm gonna take some better pictures tonight, that was from when I was about to leave and the place wasn't the quickest drive so I was in a rush to beat traffic. It might just be the picture, but we'll have to re-examine.

I had only had like 2 suits before this one and both were hand me downs from my manlet dad or manmore grandpa, so neither fit very well. I know the boxy look you're referring to, I hate that chit.

I wear a standard small and it fits well. The fitted medium fits similarly, it's just longer. So for us wider shorter brahs, the slim isn't ideal.

And everyone in here seems to be over-obsessing on their and everyone else's fits being slimmer and slimmer.
S&P originated from a trad style of clothing. You don't have to have wear everything to the point to which it seems like it is glued to your body.
Yes your blazers are supposed to seem a little boxy, yes your shirts should have enough room for you to remain mobile and comfortable, yes your pants can still be a classic fit
Yes we still lift, yes we want to accentuate our figure with more slim fitting clothing, yes we can and should incorporate more slim fit into our wardrobe
But this isn't Vogue damn it, this is S&P. Slim fits aren't everything.

Not trying to add to the flames (lul) but coals can and do produce carbon monoxide. Any carbon based fuel will in an atmosphere with insufficient oxygen for complete combustion. And, if you know anything about combustion, there is no perfect combustion process with real-world material. Ash, tar, smoke, etc. are all the evidence left behind indicating incomplete combustion. So even if you carbon monoxide detector isn't sounding it doesn't mean there's none. It just means in the volume of ******t air in your room there is not enough to trigger it. Note that your room holds tens of thousands of times the amount of air compared to your lungs so what your detector sees and what your lungs see are two very different things. Engineer brah shutting up now.
