I don't think any Mr. Olympia is overrated, but I've never been impressed by the pics I've seen of Samir Bannout.

This is a cool topic. This is all personal opinion but for me dorian and arnold are "overrated"
Now I recognize how much arnold accomplished and how he transcended the sport. But, and it's a but, he gets absolutely blOwn as if he was then and is still a God.
Dorian just didn't have a physique that appeals to me as a fan.

Nasser should have won that and everyone knows it.. Conditioning and symmetry was amazing in comparison.No avi master race.

I was never a fan of Jay's physique because I think he looks the least athletic of the top bodybuilders.
I think all the Olympia winners from the last 30 years have been reasonable (you could at least make a very good argument for them winning)... except maybe Jay beating Vic in 07.

Having a good back is part of a winning physique, especially when a bodybuilder is going against someone who looked great from the back, like Dorian. Paul Dillet is the best example of this: Mr. Olympia from the front and side, and a weaker back completed with poor conditioning and posing.Originally Posted by Unbiasedfan

They were also known by their overall physique...and thats why they were multiple time champions. If you want i can name a sh!tload of people with great backs who never won the O, thus proving what is obvious...takes more then a back, much more.Originally Posted by RockyTheKid

LOL at "Dorian has better back so he wins" at the 97 O. It's BODYbuilding, NOT BACKbuilding. That being said, Nasser should have won the 97o, brb bigger, brb same conditioning, brb better overall balance, brb no missing body parts
