My friend wants me to build him a high end pc for around $800-1000. He said he mostly wants to play Skyrim with mods and be able to play every game on ultra.
I was deciding on the 770 or R9 290. I've chosen the 290 for now but since prices for parts always go up and down things can change. I just need help finding the
proper case and PSU. I wasn't sure if n I5 was necessary for him or not since he's not that much of a gamer he just wants to have the luxury of playing games on Ultra.

I'm making a 22" sealed cube so the final inner volume should be slightly over 4.5 ft^3. I bought a 300W RMS BASH plate amp for it that also arrived yesterday but I'm gonna return it and dish out a little more for the inuke 3000dsp (http://www.parts-express.com/behring...-dsp--248-6706). I'm just going with MDF for the box

wouldnt buy last-gen hardware, even if there's no big difference. i5 is almost a must though, especially looking forward
if he's not overclocking (assuming he's not very tech savy?) why even get a k-cpu? Otherwise be aware that this month the i5-4690k is launching which should be a much better overclocker than the i5-4670k (improved thermal design) at roughly the same price.take care misc, it's been fun

Ok, just wondering if I was missing something or you had to go and make orders at 5 different places. lol
I must admit, it's a really nice tool though. Shaved a lot of money off my build (If I come up with the funds for a new build.)
This is what I'm looking at if I do it.
