I was thinking I'm locked out for safety reasons. But I dunno what else to try. i reset via removing battery/jumper. I pulled the RAM off too. There has to be a way to reset it though. I mean if the CPU is dead the PC should at least boot and give me that black/red screen saying the CPU isn't reading or whatever. It doesn't post it just stays on. no beeping or anything. As far as the warranty I don't like doing scum chit but I don't have the cash to throw around. And they'd anal rape me so f it. I'll take everything off when I'm home. Not sure what that'll do but I'm hoping it just needs a reset.. :-/

My favorite are the Seagate External drives to strip down.
http://slickdeals.net/f/7792305-130-...igerdirect?v=1
I'd do that drive personally but I'm sure you'll hear complaints about this after I recommend it from other people.
No other drive on sale right now that I can recommend as I don't pay anything but the least possible per terabyte and no other sale is currently running other than this 5TB sale.
That's 5TB for $130. Otherwise, you can shop around and see what the lowest price is currently, but unless Slickdeals has a sale on 3TB, 4TB, or 5TB drives listed, or I find a sale, I don't purchase drives.
But that's me personally, many people are willing to purchase a more expensive drive. But with about $1000 spent on drives this 1 1/2 years, I only stick to deals.
If you don't like that drive, just every day on slick deals search 3TB, 4TB and 5TB til you find a drive that's nice enough. And of course if you aren't willing to take apart an external drive than ya, you'll need to spend more.

I would slash my wrists if I paid $50 for 1TB.... or if I even owned a drive as small as 1TB for that matter lol. The smallest drive I have is 1.5TB. Too bad it was the 1.5 TB Seagate drive with massive issues. But luckily mine is still chugging along and is in my main torrent box. Lucky me!
I wish I had a working delete button. Mine only seems to work if I have a larger file to replace it with.

Can confirm. Tried 7 headsets before i got the original version of yours (PC 363D) and it's by far the best of the bunch. Pricey though.
Tried a regular pair of headphones with a modmic and the Zalman, but the prior had an annoying unflexible cable and the latter picked up hardly any sound. So this was deffo worth the pricetag to me.

04-13-2015, 05:00 PM #6192Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

Well I pulled everything apart. Installed the CPU, 1 stick of RAM and the SSD. There's no post or beeping. Also it seems like this mobo doesn't have a usb flashback. I'm guessing it's stuck with that setting or something...not sure how else I can reset everything -_-
Edit; so I pulled everything off of the mb. Used the jumper to reset it. Battery is pulled. Same problem. No post and the CPU light is on. With nothing in the mb. Maybe the mb is ruined and not my CPU. Or both.Last edited by Answer1o1; 04-13-2015 at 07:34 PM.

Just started building a budget LAN machine for csgo, tf2, killing floor 2, I think im having buyers remorse. I might resell these and try and go for a g3258 build instead.
Xeon x3220 quad core (q9000 series equivalent) 2.4ghz (Planned to overclock it)
Gigabyte P35 775 mobo
Got them for $70.00 on ebay
decisions decisions..........
but I did just get a gigabyte windforce oc hd7870 for $80 on ebay so Im happy about that.

I dunno if you know this... but it's possible to have a life and download movies... the two aren't mutually exclusive....
So no.... I'm not mad....
<3
The only thing I'm mad about is that Seagate's external 8TB HDDs are $300 each and I need to purchase 3 of them ASAP... that makes me mad
That, and the fact that I need to move to a new apartment that has Google Fiber so I can fill that 24TB of space in a reasonable time frame
If the mobo is ruined that's far more annoying to RMA. That would probably take awhile to do. I feel like from the FEW cases I've read on other forums, the turn around with intel is quite decent. With other people? They can be a dick sometimes. Damn bro... That phucking sucks
You could go with a cheap H81 mobo + Pentium Anniversary CPU? Shouldn't run you that much. Install the H81 mobo, plug in the old CPU, see if it boots up, if not, plug in the new Pentium Anniversary CPU, see if that works, if it works, RMA botht he Mobo and CPU and hope for the best. I hope your mobo isn't fried either though, I feel like that'll be much harder to RMA but that's just my feels. May be a pleasant experience for all I know. Does anyone live close to you that you can test your CPU in their PC?Last edited by tential; 04-13-2015 at 10:56 PM.

I stopped by my friends house earlier. He has a similar setup. My CPU red lights his sabertooth mobo. I didn't try his CPU in my mobo because I don't want to risk damaging his i7. So my CPU is fried 100%. My mobo is questionable. I might just stop by frys and grab an AMD setup for now. I can get a 6 core and mobo for the price of an i5. And not have to worry it being ruined in my board. Chitty situation. I'll try to RMA both parts. And sell them later I suppose.

I have an i5 3570k and a GTX 970 is there any benefit to overclocking my CPU if I don't play any cpu intensive games?

Don't OC if you don't know the benefits/why you're doing it. The risks aren't worth the rewards.
